Re: Dragons Fury: Custom Tournament #7
I'm supposedly/technically in D4 according to the OP, but I'm just ghosting both divisions because Kayla was unsure about where to place me. It's not like I'm destroying D3 at the moment (I'm actually losing miserably by a boo) so who knows, I might be placed there. :P But then again, I haven't seen scores from the rest of D4 really, so I don't know how my scores fair there (although I have a feeling they are rather terrible, especially that endless maze >.<)

Re: Dragons Fury: Custom Tournament #7
Haha so I just realized the WRONG version of Endless Maze got uploaded. I don't wanna mess up the people that already played it though so I'm just going to leave it as is.

Re: Dragons Fury: Custom Tournament #7
To be fair, Endless Maze is supposed to have 24th rolls not 32nd trills in it, which might be part of your problem.

Not going to at this point x.x Honestly I like the version with the 32nds better anyways even though they aren't "technically" correct. Lol

Re: Dragons Fury: Custom Tournament #7
Oh boy starting off the round tough in D5 with jacks x.x
So I got 3 goods sightread on this and all 3 goods were in one spot. It was all in some kind of 32nd mess. Don't know what to call it. Second try I got the AAA but I thought I had 2 goods since I lagged and though I hit a late jump. Glad that didn't happen *phew* Ugh, this..... I don't want to say anything about the chart. Sightread with 7-0-3-3, then got 8-0-0-1, 4-0-1-1, then 2-0-1-1, and then I stuck with this. Hopefully I can manage a very lucky AAA but nerves screw me over so bad at the end. This is D6 stuff for fun.

Re: Dragons Fury: Custom Tournament #7
D'aw sorry Ben, it wasn't intentional, I was rushing like a dope and went into the wrong folder. Then I had to run to the laundromat before they closed and didn't see the mistake till it was far too late

Re: Dragons Fury: Custom Tournament #7
Best score for this. Hopefully I can make up the difference later on files I actually want to play, not too worried as this is just Round 1.
Might as well try to be as helpful as possible with regards to this file... Quote:
In the anchor jack section, use jacks on the same arrow when the pitch doesn't change. You change arrows for sounds of the same pitch = not technical. Properly layer the cymbal crashes in the ending- you use hands in some parts and jumps in others. The minijacks in the ending JS do not follow the music in any particularly meaningful way. If they are going to the background noise, that sounds to me like ALL jacks, so using ALL minijack patterns would have been more technical (but also pretty stupid to play) What would have been best feeling for me was to use standard, minijack-less JS patterns until the melody comes back in, then layer the minijack sections of the melody into the JS with minijacks to those sounds. If you know what I mean. That would have been technical and probably would have felt a lot better. Quote:
I've already addressed the issue of the minijacks in the JS and how you could possibly have handled that differently, however there's a number of additional pattern changes I think could be made in the JS section. There's one 1(12)2 transition in particular that's very difficult. Try to keep minijack transitions into jumps or hands mostly 2-handed. For example 1(13)3 instead of 1(12)2 will flow better because it's a 2-handed transition. See, I have reasoning behind my criticisms. All of this is just my opinion, take it for what you will. (do I have to put this disclaimer on everything?)

Re: Dragons Fury: Custom Tournament #7
You're right, you do have reasonings. Just take it to PM's. Stop posting about it here and causing more stuff. Reviews are all fine and dandy, and this last post of yours up above mine, could have (should have) been posted with the list of your reviews in general. No need to further on about the topic. If you want to "help" him further, again, PM's are golden.
