Re: Event helper applications
I just sent you a message regarding this. Sorry for the length, I didn't even realize how large it was until I finally wrote down everything and went to send it!

Re: Event helper applications
Would be applying if I had more time. I really like what you did here Kayla. Maybe to try to gove everyone the chance to be a event helper you could implement some sort of rotation after each events so that more people could join in, just a thought!

I just sent mine in. I just typed what I could think of. I don't think it's the best application. Good luck to everyone who applied!

Re: Event helper applications
Oh, this is a great idea. I would love to, but my free time is pretty limited. Could I perhaps be a stand-in for seasonal breaks and such? If so then I would love to apply.

Re: Event helper applications
Right now I'm looking for more steady helpers that have time to put into events. But I'm not completely closed off to it for the future. Right now I want to see how this goes with a few helpers selected and go from there.

Re: Event helper applications
Alright guys, I had looked over all the applications and discussed it with a few other staff members and we selected our main three event helpers. These people had some really stand out applications to us. If you didn't make it don't feel bad, I really do feel all of you have different things to offer and there's a chance in the future we may take more people on, but for now our main three are:
PrawnSkunk Yoshl foxfire667 These people will be assisting in hosting official ffr events and sponcons. Middie will also be helping us on some of the more behind the scenes stuff such as tournament placements as he's been a good tournament host for quite some time on the site. |

Re: Event helper applications
Exactly why he's a behind the scenes helper and not running events. You can disagree with how he posts all you want, I don't agree with it either, but no one can deny he has run successful tournaments time and time again.

Re: Event helper applications
I don't care what you call him, someone who hates everyone and every chart, and who everyone hates in return, does not make a good *anything*.

Re: Event helper applications
So someone who is very organized, precise, and unafraid to speak an opinion is SUDDENLY a bad worker because people don't like them? Damn, that must mean every employer in the world should be jobless... /sarcasm

Re: Event helper applications
Well that is your opinion and you're entitled to it. To me he is a valuable asset to have on my team for certain things. He helped me with placements in the last official I ran and I had no issues working with him nor did anyone else that was helping at that given time. We also had very few placement discrepancies, wasn't perfect of course, but we had very few complaints.

Just saying, don't judge someones work ethic because their personality is different.
