for solo you need to download stepmania, change the key configuration to something like q = left w = upper left e = down i = up o = upper right p = right, add songs under the songs folder such that the hierarchy goes Songs/Group Folder/Song Folder/files and then just run it and when you play a game hit right once to go to solo mode. if you're downloading packs then extract to the songs folder, if you're downloading a single song folder extract it to a group folder you make. few other things too like turning event mode on, the menu timer off, adding cmods to the metrics (or downloading a theme that already has cmods set up, like maybe one of xiao's themes?)
packs and singles for solo are here, xiao's beginner packs are obv. the ones to get for beginners

if you haven't looked at pop'n music before this might be interesting: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0Usi-RBXoc the third song in this is highly erratic but first, second and fourth are fairly well defined (also the song name genre and background give contextual hints :ssh: )

Pop'n Music looks like such an amazing rhythm game to play... Too bad it isn't in America much... And thank you very much for the information on Solo, I am going to start playing that very soon!

I assume you meant Play instead of Place, but my favorite stepfile in all of FFR is Air.sul G iRock.

you're an asshole. It's something he enjoys. That's why he does it. A flaw in someones persons doesn't mean they are not allowed to partake in activities. I for one am glad ambitious people like him are doing what they do.
edit. deaf people also have a high sense of feeling. oh btw. Beethoven was deaf as well. but he stuck his head the the piano and played and felt the music. The best music is felt not heard

Speaking of which, there's a thread dedicated to Solo files and discussion.

Ah, albaneesk8r, as he was out of line in saying that, I am quite used to it and didn't take any offense. He was simply curious as to how it is done, because he does not know what it's like to be without a single sense. And I appreciate your saying that, it does mean a lot.

What kind of songs are you making? Piano? Classical? Rock? Techno?

When I think about it, I can only perceive you as the modern Beethovan. The only difference being that you were deaf the whole time and you have technology in your hands.

Welcome, sir, to FFR. Hope you stick around!

If you don't mind me asking, how acute have your other senses become?

Oh, Ghakimx, that is an incredible thought... But I would be extremely lucky to be able to even touch the brink of what Beethoven had accomplished in his life.

Haha, I was waiting for that question to pop up. To be honest, I think they're normal, but who knows.

Haha, thank you for the congratulations. An easy song, not even close to challenging.

The very challenging songs still give me a bit of a challenge, but the For Masters Only and For Gurus Only songs are too difficult for me to AAA at this point in time.

It took me 2.5 years to AAA a For Masters Only song. You must have a lot of background with music and rhythm games to be able to AAA challenging songs easily so quickly!

Edit: I just noticed you also have 2 Very Challenging AAA's. Nice!

Music yes, Rhythm games are fairly natural to me, such as Guitar Hero and Stepmania. I wish I could be better, I'll just have to practice.
