Re: Naruto
"Naruto is 12. Therefore, Naruto is for 12 year-olds."said squeek
naruto is 14/15 yrs old(not sure which one)because he failed the ninja academy 2 times which means he would be two years older than everyone else and since sakura and sasuke are 12/13 yrs old that would make naruto 14/15 and since he is the main character we can conclude that the show naruto is for 14/15 year old kids |

Re: Naruto
In the new ones it does seem like he's 18 or so. But truth is he's only 15.

Re: Naruto
I completely agree with Squeek on the whole fanboys thing. I admit, I sort of used to be a fanboy but I'm really not anymore. I haven't watched the American Naruto for like, at least 2 months. I watched up to about 150 episodes, got bored and moved on and that's the most enjoyable thing to do IMO.
Once my 11 year old neighbor and I were talking about Naruto. I told him one of my friends was obsessed with anime and he said... who's anime? I couldn't believe it, it's just sad. But Naruto isn't all that bad if you skip the fillers and go to Shippuden. P.S. TRD 301 (pwned) |

Also, it wasn't just the fillers that killed my interest in the show. It was the lack of a direction. The show still lacks it, so I refuse to watch it any further. Finally, Seth, I chose to let the idiot make a fool of himself. Just like I do with my moderation style on FFR. |

Re: Naruto
Bleach was cool up till after the soul society arc. I thought it was going down hill, but in the most recent chapters, my interest picked up again.
Same goes for Naruto. It was okay up till the beginning of the Chuunin exam arc, after that, it went downhill for me. The fact that they needed to show training episodes pissed me off because in my opinion, they're a waste of my time. Training episodes or chapters are a waste to me, especially if they suck. I can find a few exceptions, an example would be the episodes in Bleach where Ichigo was trying to obtain shinigami powers. ~Tsugomaru

Re: Naruto
This may be a bit off topic but, someone said on the first or second page that on Naruto the bad guy (Orochimaru) never dies when in fact he does die by means of Sasuke (sorry if i ruined this for you). I dont really have an opinion on Naruto; I dont think that it is bad, but it is also not terrible. I just wish there were more pointless killing scenes where u actually saw how the people died, that would at least make it a bit more interesting.

Re: Naruto
I wrote that in October 2006 when it hadn't happened yet. But anyway, we had this discussion before. I probed a little further and found out his "death" was something to do with sealing him in another dimension or some crap like that.
In anime, that's not dying. People can fall off cliffs, be shot in the head, whatever. They don't die that easily. |

Re: Naruto
Naruto's a good anime show. Shippuuden made it better and made Naruto not as stupid as in the old seasons. I like the action, and I understand the story. Watch on Toonami for english episodes, or watch on Youtube for Japanese episodes (obviously with english subtitles!!!). Out of all anime, this must be the most popular one of all.
