Re: The Official Fifa World Cup Soccer Thread
Lol, I need to show that site to my cousin. He thinks Christiano Ronaldo is the best thing to happen to football. I personally don't have anything against Christiano Ronaldo. My opinion on the Rooney incident is that what Christiano did is wrong, but I really don't care that much since it in no way affects me. I wasn't even rooting for England.
Hahaha, Portugal is out. |

Italy better win.
The only goal scored against them was from the US, which was more of a goal on themselves. |

Re: The Official Fifa World Cup Soccer Thread
Italy in the last overtime minute made two goals =D and beats Germany!
1st goal: Grosso 2nd goal: Del Pierro It was one of the most suppenseful moments especially since I knew that if they went to penalties chances that Germany was going to win were many. Unfortunately today Portugal lost =/ I wanted it to make to the finals with Italy but it didn't because in the first half Carvalho fouled Henry in the penalty area =/....The penalty taker was Zidane and well made it, but barely Ricardo would have manage to block it if he had moved more swiftly. In the second half nothing got better for the Portugese I thought Deco did really poorly in this game against the French but, Christiano Ronaldo and Figo did wonderful. Besides all the booing against Christiano Ronaldo since the incident with Rooney when he got expelled in the England vs Portugal game, Christiano had to deal with the fact that whenever he touched the ball the expectators in the stadium booed and was forced to give the ball out or sometimes had to deal with the shame. In other words I think Portugal played well and my hopes on winning the cup lie in the hands of the Italians.

Re: The Official Fifa World Cup Soccer Thread
Zidane is a beast. Christiano Ronaldo and Figo are a joke in the Soccer world, two of the biggest babies ever.
Anyways, Portugal choked and I knew it was coming but I didn't expect France to whoop them, always imagined it would of been Brazil but whatever. France is my pick for World Champs.

I'm taking France in the final, for sure. It'll be close though... it would be insane if Italy shut them out.
It's hilarious how lucky France is to be in the final... they're only in because the ref didn't count the South Korean's goal XD gave them the tie instead of the loss lol

Re: The Official Fifa World Cup Soccer Thread
That's not very good reasoning to support your belief that France will win.
Anyways, Italy will win because the US tied them, regardless of how. Might as well be the champion. |

I find it amusing that Portugal lost to a flop.

Re: The Official Fifa World Cup Soccer Thread
Well France has to redeem itself from the 2002 World Cup it classified, but was easily eliminated scoring 0 goals. A come back from was expected and they surely did well in this 2006 World Cup.
Well Brazil this World Cup did horrible made it to the semifinals but their team is damn old. In their game with France they just played horrible, how could you put Cafu 34 years old as a defender the guy can barely run for 45 mins. Brazil challenge after this is to find some new players for their team. Some of the players have already resigned like Roberto Carlos, Juninoho, Cafu, and some more. I doubt Ronaldo will play after all the dirt and critisism from the people and tabloids, pressure is on him to lose weight. About Italy shutting France humm maybe not, but who knows they shut the Germans in overtime with two goals in the last minute of the second 15 minutes of overtime. France on the other hand is doing marvalous and chances are high that they might smoke the Italians. I'm still sticking with Italy on beating France.

Wow the only reason Portugal beat england was cuz england didnt have bekham or rooney, and happily France shut them down.
My moneys on France. P.S. Italy takes more dives than a swim meet. P.P.S. C. Ronaldo is the biggest puss on the planet. |

Re: The Official Fifa World Cup Soccer Thread
Well Beckham had to leave the game because of a foot injury and we know Rooney lost his cool by arguing with the referee and also by pushing Christiano Ronaldo as Ronaldo was asking for card (gained bad rep after that). Funny part in the incident was that Rooney had actually fouled his Chelsea team mate Carvaloh and had manage to squish his balls has he fell.
