If it wasn't for the update halo 2 would be way behind halo 1. Sure BXR'ing is fun(I use boxer setting though) but I think the game just isn't as good. It takes so much more skill for halo 1 than halo 2. Yeah, the pistol was overpowering, but everyone started with one. If you knew what you were doing though, it wasn't bad at all.

Bungie also totally screwed the Wizard and the Longest. I mean Warlock is okay, but I can't even play Elongation. = (

A bad thing about halo 2 is the mad autoaim. I mean if you take the rockets, stand pretty far away, then aim to the side of the guy, the rocket seeks to him.

EDIT: Yeah the pistol is three shots and your dead, but unlike the BR's autoaim, you have to have some skill to win a 1 v 1 fight.

Dunlop, I believe you are wrong. Rockets won't track people, only vehicles. And to what extent of "the side" are you talking about?

Also, this whole thing about skill with halo1 vs halo2, I think all the theories are wrong. Just because you are aided with autoaim doesn't make it easier, it makes it more difficult to get away. This means that you need to be more crafty and more strategic in where you go and what you do. Because everyone has the same advantages and disadvantages, it is even.

If you take the crosshair for the rockets and aim it so the entire crosshair is not on a guy, and aim to the side, the rocket will still seek towards the opponent. I guess you could try on Ascension or something. Have someone stand on top of the small tower, and the other guy shoot on the big base.

Autoaim makes it so much easier to kill your opponents. Of course the BR is aided a ton from AA, but say you have the sniper for instance. All you need to do is melee, cancel the melee and then shoot. It will automatically aim for the head, and you'll get the kill.

All I'm saying is if you're playing 1v1 in The Wizard, and 1v1 in Warlock. Playing in the Wizard takes more skill. Not to mention all the grenade tricks to get the OS and Camo down.

EDIT: Not to mention being a good sniper in H1 is harder than being a good sniper in H2.

That I have played it and played other FPS games and I was so unimpressed with the quality that I refused to buy it? That I have the required knowledge to criticize and compare it considering I have played it and that I have played other games that are superior? I don't think that was your point.

Actually, you missed my point completely.. Just simplying playing it on PC and "on some kids system" once or twice has nothing to do with the xbox live matchmaking system nor does the PC version have anything to do with what I am talking about. You cannot possibly hold a conversation or argument on the situation. It would be like me watching the History channel one night for an hour and then proclaiming that history sucks. You cannot possibly hold a debate about something which you know nothing about.

Fine, last word for me.

I like xbox live, it's neat I wasn't dissing that. However, why would I play tons of Halo if I didn't like it? Do I have to play a ton to say it's generic? No, because the parts I played (I played a good 2 hours of online on live anyway.) were dissapointing.
