![]() I'm in Japan for just under 2 weeks as of right now. Will be spending most of the time in Kyoto and Kurume.
Any recommendations on what to see and do?

![]() This happened yesterday: While taking a taxi through Akihabara I saw what could only be described as a cosplay motorcycle gang. I recognized the easy ones - Kaneda from Akira, Celty from Durarara!!, and Reiko from Golden Boy - but alas my weeb level was too low to identify all of them. By the time I got back they were gone so no picture
![]() After some Googling I learn that the guy with weird orange corn cob hair was from Danganronpa and the girl in the school outfit was probably from Bakuon!!, no idea about the last two which were a girl with an aviator hat on a much older style (like 1950s-ish) bike, and someone in the back who was wearing a bright yellow jacket. EDIT- Today I took the bullet train to Kyoto. Damn I knew it would be a comfortable ride but it was fucking buttery smooth, why can't the U.S. have trains this nice? Got a great view of Mt. Fuji out the train window too.

![]() Dude nice. I hope to vacation there at least once. I kind of want to go to Shibuya for the music scene though, but am told Kyoto is where it's at for scenery. I would absolutely see what the hiking options are where you are staying (I enjoy casually walking through nature, personally)
I miss that guy so much I'm told the Japanese use public transportation like all the time, so they are really about trying to make it as awesome as it can be. |
