Re: 11th Official Tournament - Round 2
I wont even be around for the next round i'll be on vacation from Friday night to Saturday night. I might have like 2 hours to play the song when I get home but after a 6 hour car ride I doubt i'll have the desire

Re: 11th Official Tournament - Round 2
I enjoyed the file
Burst-heavy files are really frustrating for tournaments because they're super mindblockable but it was still pretty fun |

Well normally I like bursty stuff but this file I, again, just hated. Even if it wasn't a tourney file, but to each their own

just because you're bad at a file doesnt make the chart itself bad

Re: 11th Official Tournament - Round 2
Wow such an original comment. I'm not allowed to find a chart horrible. Just because you can't direct a better movie or produce a better song doesn't make the song or movie horrible!!!

Re: 11th Official Tournament - Round 2
Yes hence the to each their own, I find the chart horrible, don't think hi19 would care either. Oh boo boo I only like 98% of hi19 files instead of 100% now
And again, no shit walrus. Every chart I'm bad at I call horrible, this guy is edgy! Last edited by j-rodd123; 07-7-2016 at 11:11 AM.. |

Re: 11th Official Tournament - Round 2
I realize it was rude and I'm cranky so I'm sorry to you and hi19. But the idiots still commenting stuff like just cuz you're bad at a file doesn't mean you can say it's bad!!!! is still annoying 10 years of arrow smashing later
And yes if it hasn't been obvious by now it's a completely subjective opinion, I never speak about objectivity because I don't make files Last edited by j-rodd123; 07-7-2016 at 12:32 PM.. |

Re: 11th Official Tournament - Round 2
don't worry I think it's bad too <3
When D7 has to innovate ways to cheat the 48th burst patterns, you know something ain't right. That being said, what better place to test players' reading and pattern innovation ability than an OT? Looks like D6 will be tasked with this next round.

Re: 11th Official Tournament - Round 2
I was very subjective about the Round 1 D6 File being bad, however I only had issues with the trill itself, then the trill transition to the burst, and the burst itself.
I think the files are stepped accurately enough, however, thus far. Very interesting to say the least. Also, I'm extremely excited to play D5's song next round as I tend to like that area of BPM. As well, the D2 song looks and sounds awesome as hell Never gonna play D7 file. Ever. I threw away Hardkore Atomic for a reason..... |

Re: 11th Official Tournament - Round 2
Anyone who is complaining about the D5 file technically: you're wrong. It's very accurately stepped, in fact, that's precisely the problem, it is TOO accurately stepped.
Anyone who is complaining about the D5 file's playability: lol yeah its pretty troll I don't disagree in the slightest. I usually pretty much only care about playability and smooth patterns so as a simfile artist sometimes it can be fun to let go (this attitude also leads to M.A.M.A., Thunder Light, etc.) Anyone who is complaining about the D5 file being used in the tournament: Well, I do think the file is quite a bit much for D5 R2 and should have been used a little later in the tournament. But I also think it is a fine tournament file. Bursts are patterns too, even if a lot of people are bad at them/don't like them. Cheating weird patterns has always been a thing on FFR, and it's not like D5 should be "protected" from files that might require it

Re: 11th Official Tournament - Round 2
This tournament was meant to be challenging. That's how tournaments work. So what if it's used as a R2 file for D5. It fits fine. Just play, work hard, and advance or don't :/

Re: 11th Official Tournament - Round 2
It doesn't matter how bad you are at a file.
It matters how bad you are compared to everyone else. (kind of like how you don't need to outrun the bear, you just have to outrun one of your friends)
