How the fuck does that even work? I don't think I ever AAA'd Scarhand 1.0. How embarrassing. Sick performance though guys.

Re: The Speedrunning Thread
In fairness, Reach, only two people have ever AAAed Zagh's. That was the Icyworld version on stream, sometimes called Icyhand, which is marginally easier but still scales like ass on rates. (I actually have 20g FC on it, lmao)

Re: The Speedrunning Thread
It finally happened Super Metroid: RBO in 1:49:25. First time I've ever managed to complete a run. It was messy as all hell, but I don't care. Feels so good!

Re: The Speedrunning Thread
Just thought I'd stop by to mention that I'm now speedrunning Super Mario 64. I mostly do 70 star, where I currently have 51:23
My channel: http://www.twitch.tv/itscustom I also recently got back into StepMania a little bit so I will occasionally stream that as well.

Re: The Speedrunning Thread
Who else AAA'd Zagh's St. Scarhand? I thought Thaor was the only one for some reason.

Re: The Speedrunning Thread
Anyone here participating in the Super Metroid Any% tournament?
http://challonge.com/smany2016 I just signed up yesterday. I've been grinding out Draygon and a lot of late game stuff lately so I figure I stand a chance to not do too horribly :P

Re: The Speedrunning Thread
Do you find there's input delay when you emulate SM?
I found playing it on console a LOT better, but right now it's not set up. In the process of getting a new house so it's in boxes XD Want to practice some more SM once i'm back in business. It's a pretty fun speed run. I can't do the new route though, I always die in Norfair

I don't even bother with the new route lol. Fuck that CWJ and early Phantoon. I have enough trouble with Phantoon in the old any% route haha. I've also seen people saying that there's no point in doing the new route until you're getting like 45 in the old route, so until I get there (lol never gonna happen) I'm sticking with the old :P

Re: The Speedrunning Thread
Yeah, I tried the new route a few times and gave up.
I was still working on 1 hr before I stopped running it so I have a lot of work to do.

Re: The Speedrunning Thread
Ah, that's where I was when I stopped a long while back for over a year. Spent a few months learning RBO before going back to Any% and completely destroyed my old time by like four minutes. I guess it makes sense since RBO is a lot more demanding than Any%. It really forced me to improve my movement to survive a lot of the hell runs.
Now it's just a matter of remembering how to do all the bosses in Any% and all the room strategies for late game that I don't remember at all anymore. Hopefully I can get there before the tournament. Three weeks of practice is a decent amount of time I think

So who watched Mitchflowerpower on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert? I'm amazed he did the glitch on national TV like that.
