Re: jTWG LXIX: MECHANICAL POWER OF LOVEEEEE Game Thread
Hmm..R's kill makes me look woolfy. I don't like this.
Also don't like this post count being disabled :l Makes me less inclined to post knowing it doesn't even count anymore. Anyway, regarding R's killing, strikes me as a first time/newbie wolfing. The 'shut up the loud guy' strategy. So I'm going to be connecting the dots between players who stated they were new and their relationship with R so far.

Re: jTWG LXIX: MECHANICAL POWER OF LOVEEEEE Game Thread
care to explain why...? if anything I find it rather unexpected, considering he was the other option for KITB and people obviously had suspicions on him. I think we should look at his reads

Re: jTWG LXIX: MECHANICAL POWER OF LOVEEEEE Game Thread
In my experience, loud-mouth people tend to be the kill. You're probably not wrong that we should look at his reads though. Loud-mouth people may be killed more often in my experience, but there's usually a reason for it outside of that.

I'm really curious what clasko has to say now. I don't think s/he has made a presence yet. It's not that crazy to have a wolf go UTR like this.

Re: jTWG LXIX: MECHANICAL POWER OF LOVEEEEE Game Thread
Actually... urgh I don't know. Last activity from Clasko was on the 15th. I'm also starting to think the wolf kill wasn't so bad because R generated a lot of discussion. In jTWG's, usually players have a hard time of doing that, and I know for damn sure that I'm not notorious for posting a lot of helpful stuff ._.

Re: jTWG LXIX: MECHANICAL POWER OF LOVEEEEE Game Thread
Whoops forgot to answer this. I think that he was killed because he was leading town down some road. Not to say it was the right one necessarily but he was leading. Without him, someone needs to step up and generate some sort of discussion. I think that he was the other option for the KITB because of the absence of people at EoD. Clearly people weren't aware of the EoD time ergo no one was there to change votes, talk things over, etc. I personally wouldn't have voted neither r nor ant. Sure it would've been good for the wolves to have a suspicious townie still alive but iunno, maybe they were thinking of next gen strats lol

Re: jTWG LXIX: MECHANICAL POWER OF LOVEEEEE Game Thread
Waiting for you guys to do things before I give my thoughts. I was thinking a bit about it today, but this is a jTWG (evidently) for people to learn how to play and comfortably improve. So I don't want to constantly make huge posts and potentially run with the game with my activity on the off chance my posts come off as overbearing or intimidating or lengthy or anything of the sort. I'm thinking of just acting as a helping hand and not going full force with the game so that you all can generate discussion yourselves. Do as RNGRX did and post a lot!!!
Annnnd, I'm playing Borderlands 2, so I haven't really thought too much about the game beyond that...! But if you want me to actually say something, then I'll say a few things. Quote:
And to answer your question, the only people who can for certain know why a Player was wolfed are the Wolves themselves, but the best guess we can make about RNGRX being wolfed (as both danceflash and Cold Kitten noted) is that he was inciting activity and being very assertive in his place. Alternative possibilities could be that maybe a Wolf wanted to get rid of a Player with good suspicions, a Wolf may have wanted to incriminate another Player by making us buy into that same logic. Though, it's generally hard to tell if we dig this deep into the wolfing, especially a Night 1 wolfing, so I would recommend looking into any particular patterns for suspicions later. Quote:
You made a prediction that RNGRX was wolfed because he was pushing for activity, so does that lead you to suspect anyone? Is there anyone who you believe might benefit from RNGRX's absence? It's been literally about 6 hours, why are you so quick to vote me for not yet saying anything? Do you think I won't say anything today without prompting? Speaking of people having to say stuff though, what have you gathered from when you stated this before? You said you would connect the dots, so how have you progressed with that? In particular, do you have any new suspicions?

Re: jTWG LXIX: MECHANICAL POWER OF LOVEEEEE Game Thread
Thats fine mashi, I love reading :3 (no srsly please post a lot, it makes up for the quiet). Also you scared me with the post when you talked about statistics. Should I be concerned? ;3
I'm really kinda clueless right now. I have a smaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall red lean on cold kitten. There really isn't any good reason, more of a completely random gut read lol. I'll look into it in a sec. Red: If I voted you right now what would you say? I have a green lean on raeko right now. All her posts have a genuine feel to them, specifically the posts where she talks about strategy. It seems very clear headed and quite logical and solid town. I also like this post a lot: "i got sent home early and was all excited to come back and read this. guys wtf?? really??". I like it because it seems really pro town. Considering the wolf kill I can really see a world where TPS is a wolf considering TPS and R seemed to be going at it a considerable amount. Probably my strongest red lean.

What are we going to do about Clasko if he doesn't speak up this phase? I feel like having this complete question mark character could really fuck over the humans.

Re: jTWG LXIX: MECHANICAL POWER OF LOVEEEEE Game Thread
I was wondering that myself. If we don't find a good lynch today, I think he's best lynch. Wolves sure as hell aren't going to kill off dead weight for us. I'm dreading the situation if it happens when it's 3-2 and clasko is one of the 3 and still not talking.
Also I was looking back at visd's posts (whom cold kitten replaced) and his posts seemed interesting. "Yeah, I'm watching this. I don't have anything particularly valuable to contribute right now, it's mainly just day 1 shitposting and dirt-throwing. Yes, a couple of people haven't posted, so I'll reserve judgment for a while more until everyone says something, at least." I don't like how he specifically doesn't want to say anything worthwhile, or even add to any conversation. The only thing that I really found from cold kitten was that he pressured ant, and then didn't say anything else until eod when she said (sparknoted) "Yeah I wish we had more votes too". So I assure myself on her being a decent candidate for my second red lean. (Also I just realized I've been calling s/he by the avatar, so sorry if I offend anyone that way lol)

Re: jTWG LXIX: MECHANICAL POWER OF LOVEEEEE Game Thread
danceflashrevo, if you want to test out a person's reaction, the adage "Actions speak louder than words" usually comes into play. If you're wondering how Red Blaster would react if you voted for him, place a vote on him and see how he actually reacts! That's not to say that you can never ask people questions of that nature, but don't be afraid to be a bit aggressive if you feel the need to. You can always change your vote later, after all.
And haha, don't worry, live TWG was a special occasion where I had to lie about the statistics because I didn't have the time to legitimately do them!!! Raeko Asahina, I was actually thinking about that too. Usually inactive Players are replaced with active ones, so it's generally not a concern, but seeing as there's a dearth of new Players, we may not get a replacement any time soon. If we can't happen to determine a pairing from the active Players, it would be a good idea to start looking at him, but for now, he's dead weight no matter what Team he's on. In my opinion, it would be best to look at him later and hope he actually contributes something by then. It's a terrible thing having to choose to lynch between an inactive and another Player near endgame, but that's how the cookie crumbles sometimes, unfortunately.

Re: jTWG LXIX: MECHANICAL POWER OF LOVEEEEE Game Thread
Fair enough, I mean, I could see where you would get that from. The only thing I can really say in my defense is that everyone plays differently and I just tend to like to be active.
I really do feel like the lack of... well, anything from Clasko is worrying though. |

I was gonna make some witty joke using statistics about when you're wolf and use statistics but I couldn't think of one. It's the thought that counts right? But anyways about this clasko dealio, would he be modkilled or something due to the amount of substitutions? :/

Re: jTWG LXIX: MECHANICAL POWER OF LOVEEEEE Game Thread
The fact that Red jumped to Charles basically immediately (yeah, I know it was a few hours but close enough) after the night phase ended seems rather odd to me. I've never known people to accuse that quickly. Might just be player style, but it just hits me the wrong way.
