Default Sometimes cancer reports not always believable

I have been sent this link:
http://www.lsureveille.com/vnews/dis.../4231e2354ebc4

And i have been reading it...
I couldn't believe what i read.
I got to the 8th paragraph, and i couldn't believe in thinking.. "Wait, diet coke leads to cancer.."

So i made more research and i finally found this site:
http://www.zmag.org/sustainers/conte...09/25shiva.cfm

Hmm. What do you think?

Reading web message boards causes cancer.

Seriously, everything now adays causes cancer. I'll just listen for the FDA to say it, then I might believe it.

What the hell, just being under the sun can cause potentially cancerigenous mutations. Viruses (Virii?) can cause cancer. Having sex can cause cancer (mainly on women though). So what are you gonna do about it?

Actually it does cause cancer.

Phenylalanine is the ingredient that does it. Phenylketonurics are in Diet Coke/Pepsi/other stuff.

NEVER use coal tar shampoos. NEVER. Coal tar is a well-known carcinogen. It's one of the things in cigarettes that cause the most lung cancer. If it's causing lung cancer, why the hell would ANYONE put this crap on their head?

I pity the fool...

Phenylalanine is a fucking Amino acid. It doesn't do shit to you. In fact, you die if you don't have it. It is in almost half of all proteins. Do you eat meat? It's in there. Soy? Oh, it's in there. Unless I'm wrong and it's a peptide, but the point still stands. Some people have a sort of allergy to it that causes them to be unable to digest it. This has nothing to do with cancer at all.

Qreepy wins the thread. Seriously, if you drank six gallons of coke a day, maybe you'd stand a risk. But you'd probably die from other causes before you died from cancer.

Fact of the matter is, cancer is really luck of the draw. You can do things to prevent it, but it's mainly just following good health procedures...eating right, exercizing, and whatnot.

And for the record, the reason Marijuana isn't a known carcinogen is because it's never been specifically proven that it causes cancer. Something like 97% of marijuana users also use some form of tobacco, so it's nearly impossible to create an unbiased control group.

yea stick to real sources of information not noname bullshit web boards and stuff.

sure all those things cause cancer in large ammounts of exposure... hell if you were to ingest 1 drop of flouride you'd die in a matter of minutes.

people these days are just so fucked in the head its not even funny.
