How is your social life right now?

stuff like friday night magic, book clubs, board game nights, and drawing clubs ain't bad it really depends on what's available in your area but like you may have to do quite a bit of google searching and stuff to figure out what is cool. the one thing about structured stuff like that is that usually those events draw people who don't hang out otherwise so people can sometimes be in tune with social anxiety and similar things that hold you back from socializing.

or just finding a friend in your area to do one shared interest.

My social life kind of revolves either work place or this computer that's in front of me right now.

I'm not too big with hanging out with friends, never had been. I tend to like alone time far better.

Last time I actually "hanged" with someone was when I was in highschool. This was 5 years ago.

All things considered, you would think I would be mega anti-social and never talk.

Yeah, I could. I'm unsure at whether they'll have the time since they're in college, and not to mention part-time jobs and relationships.

I've been studying for the written test so I can get my permit though, so this is a start.

I honestly don't have too expansive a social life. I have a small group of friends at school that I'm able to talk to, as well as a few very kind people here on FFR. However, outside those boundaries, I'm withdrawn and rarely have anything to talk about, besides something assigned to me.

I love gathering with my friends, however, the times that this can happen are so infrequent that I rarely get to enjoy this luxury as much as I wish I could.

When I was in high school I had a regular group of friends, I was very social, and really just enjoyed talking to people. All of my close friends from high school went away to school and I decided to stay and commute. I have a girlfriend and I spend a good amount of time with her, but I literally have like no friends in college. Being a commuter is very hard on the social life, and it doesn't help that I lost a lot of confidence in my self after having some issues with head pressure and anxiety [that still persist even now]. I am stuck in a weird place where I want to hang out but don't at the same time. I am just hoping I can get some of the medical problems out of the way before start up a social life again.

my only thing is getting laid i dont want a girlfriend but i hang out with a lot of girls all the time. doesnt bother me in the slightest though. if it happens it happens but if not im not frettin about it. would be nice but its bound to happen eventually so im just chillin.

People seem to like me. Can't tell you why, but I guess I'm funny in person. I'm sure after this year is over and the floor moves into houses and different dorms that will change pretty drastically, but for now most of the floor ~26 guys, can tolerate me and that's good enough.

I have a few acquaintances who I never talk to anymore, but as far as close friends I don't have any who I see regularly. I talk to my roommate in my dorm, but we barely exchange any words besides greetings. I'm planning on joining the art club, but the only time they responded was to go to a museum. I wanted to know where they meet on campus so I can meet with them regularly, but so far they haven't responded since then. I'm planning on visiting some sort of painting club tomorrow, but I'm not sure whether I'm allowed to paint without showcasing my paintings.

I have a very difficult time making friends because I'm the kind of person who doesn't like to make the first effort to see someone unless it's for a practical reason. I've only had a few close friends in my life, but the only close friend I had in high school is attending a different college than mine. In addition, I haven't spoken with him in over eighteen months. I'm trying to become a lot more social because I sometimes feel very lonely, so hopefully I'll eventually be able to make a friend who I get along with often. I'm extremely picky when it comes to choosing friends, so it may take awhile longer. However, I hope to find a good friend in college soon!

Eh, I think I need to evaluate why I'm in such a down mood when I'm alone. I go out regularly with friends (2 or 3 times a week), but when I'm at home I feel like shit.

Also, have been cutting a lot of people off, mostly because they just aren't the type of people I wanna be around. I still got a good amount of franz though.

Outside of online interactions, my social life is pretty much nonexistent.
Though tbh, I have never really been very social. Only reason I had any semblance of a social life in high school was because I went to an extremely small high school (about 100 students K-12). Even then, I was mostly known as "the smart kid" and not really anything else. Probably had like three close friends (top being one of them).

My social life has been pretty decent since last year. I started joining social clubs and hanging out with co-workers after work more often. My girlfriend and I spent a lot more time together nowadays which is great. I do have times when I enjoy being alone in the house and chatting with friends online though.

I talk to a lot of people when it's not the weekend but sometimes going on FFR can really brighten up my day. I'm that guy who sits in the front of the class and generally has a content expression on his face. It helps to be a pleasant person.

Since it's hard to find topics that everyone can relate to, I still prefer being in this community.

The girlfriend thing is also prominent in my university and it's rather annoying. Luckily I'm on the campus where most of the technical majors are so I'm around people that talk slower and more cohesively. One of the big turnoffs for me when talking to people is hearing them talk too fast or unclear. Typing on a computer removes that verbal aspect so someone doesn't feel as rushed when trying to say something

You might not feel that way if you find someone you have a lot in common with though.
