I taught myself to whistle when I was like 15 or something? I remember being excited the first time I was able to make a whistling sound. I don't know how big of a factor age, genetics, and muscle memory play a part, but ...

Whistling is something you can do at any time that you're not eating or sleeping (or if you're not allowed to make noise, eheh), and you can do it while doing anything else, so there's a lot of potential practicing time. There's the basic position (first round the lips, curve the edges of your tongue up to your molars, put the tip of your tongue behind your teeth...) and, knowing that, just keep blowing, slightly moving your tongue here and there. After you can make a whistling noise, you focus in on that position. And then there's the game of finding how to move your tongue to make different notes. (A higher/more fronted tongue position makes higher pitches.) For like a month, I could only whistle a single note, everything else just sounding like air. So it takes a while of dedicated practice. Don't get discouraaaged~

P.S. So I can whistle with the tip of my tongue in front my teeth (which feels odd but works the same way) and never tried to teach myself how to do it on the inhale.

- Anxiety for sure. (I mildly had this growing up but it's a bit worse now that I am older...)
- Can't sit still/Get bored easily. I always got to be constantly be doing something. (Hyper)
- Thinks I am smarter than everyone. (Even though I am not...)
- Very mild case of OCD. (Nothing I can't control myself though.)
- Extremely picky. (Even my family agrees with me...)
- Overweight. (I am trying to exercise, but I tend to lounge around the house and over eat...)
- Irresponsible. (...I have no life... )

Yes, it's fairly easy to whistle both ways once you practice a few times. I actually inhaled the first time I whistled. I didn't comprehend exhaling to do it at first. Eventually, I got it. I was so proud of myself. ^_^

to start things off im overweight
i tend to joke to much and tend to understate
the seriousness of conversations let me demonstrate
when i talk about my problems
be them about life or about death
i'll be overly sarcastic to the point its turned to jest
so now no one can take me seriously and ive lost friends because of it
the third thing that i would mention
is that its really hard for me to give a damn
and its not that i dont care its just that its hard to give a damn
maybe its a lack of self respect for myself and what i do
or the fact that i dont think anything is worth doing
its all the same and nothing is new
i battle with depression yeah suicide has come to mind
i struggle with my vision getting worse i might as well be blind
i forgot how to love and all my relationships have gone to shit
i really want this all to change even if its just a little bit
just the fraction of a smidgen of the shit that i live now
just to say that lifes worth loving
that my life is worth living too but how
can i pretend to change when around ever corner
and around every bend
all i see is death, dissatisfaction, greed, sorrow, and pain
all i see is suffering and negligence its insane how it wont end
i wish that i had faith to believe in god
because maybe if i was showered in ignorance my wounds would mend

- Underweight (6', 125lbs)

- Overly critical of myself. I have no good qualities be it personality or physical.

- Hard time making and keeping friends. From high school, I'd say I have kept zero friends from the maybe five I made. Or perhaps it is that I don't know when I have made a friend. Regardless, I don't keep in contact with acquaintances and I am seemingly alone aside from my brother's friends who accept me.

- I procrastinate too much. Every English paper I did last semester was done the night before it was due because it takes the pressure of a due assignment for me to buckle down and focus.

- I am overly sarcastic in every situation possible regardless of who it is I am talking to. I talked to a professor and was being sarcastic. And you would have a hard time knowing whether I am being serious or not because of what Cavernio mentioned was being deadpan.

- I am soft spoken and thus my insights, if you can call them that, are not heard. Perhaps that's better for most people.

- I say very radical things that should throw people off. If you didn't know any better, from what you hear me say, you'd think I was gay. I can *assure* you (you'll always be able to doubt and I will never try to tell you otherwise) I am not.

- I scratch myself and end up with cuts all over my body. This usually happens at night, and I have a very scarred back from it. Must be a fingernail issue. Wish I had some clippers.

I can absolutely guarantee there is more for this list, but I'll stop it here. Most of it is just "I hate myself but I am stuck with myself and therefore I will deal with my issues."

Actually one thing that pisses me off most is that I can't make music, and I can't make Simfiles/Beatmaps either. I just suck at that stuff and can't grasp it. It's a shame because I think I am pretty good at analyzing music and could potentially be creative with it if I managed to get over this.

Relating to the snapping fingers bit, I was thinking about this last night. I found this very puzzling/confusing.

I am primarily a right handed person. However, I cannot snap my fingers with my right hand. Only my left hand... I find this very odd. (I may be going a bit off topic but this does intrigue me.) How about you all?
