rationale:

* no one is doing anything on a Monday night

* it's way more memorable than skype conference calls

would anyone be down for making this a regular thing?

Sorry, can't. I got banned for saying "hehe". Literally the only thing I said in the entire chat log. Some chick there has power she shouldn't have and bans everyone that she apparently doesn't like for any ungiven reason.

Seriously not making it up or even fabricating it the slightest. I went on yesterday and got banned without notice or reasoning. Pregs was there.

There's always a chance of misunderstandings. Seems stupid that they wouldn't try and figure out exactly what was going on before just banning people, but I'll always give people the benefit of the doubt unless I was there or knew 100% for sure what happened.

So I'm just skeptical and would need more information. Who even moderates that silly vid chat?

Haha Lonely Saturday Night is way memorable, we had a video of Spenner getting slapped in the nuts, top licking his sweaty ball hands, raiding your birthday thread, and epic rap battles.

How about we have two, then? Snowcrafta head the Lonely Saturdays one, and I'll find some people to do Mondays. I'm rarely available on Saturdays -- I'm usually out.

Also, if we have a moderator problem, that's just an issue of either (A) making a new tinychat, (B) telling the moderator to lighten it up a bit for this event, or (C) letting the current channel creator know that there is a moderator problem. I doubt vayne (who I assume is the moderator referenced here) has sole authority over the chat.

Anyway, I would be down for something like this as long as the room moderators were actually serious and didn't just do whatever they wanted. I wish there was a day on Fridays... Mondays suck because they fall during when I have to work and I have to sleep early, and Saturdays suck because I have to start work week the next following day.

there is a flash video chat roaming around that is apparently open source, but requires a database; someone could try implementing it on a server of whatever

Well, there's Google Hangout, that's kind of a nifty little thing, it's just bad at being public so anyone can join like tinychat, lol. Not what you're thinking though

Does it have the multi-windows-at-once functionality that TinyChat does? That's why the parties on tinychat are so fun. It's like being in a room of people.
