Re: FFR Compilation Pack Of Pure Awesomeness
I sent some fiels
I was planning to send "PUMP UP UR NRG" but when I was making the easier chart I ACCIDENTALLY replaced my hard-standard difficulty by that one. That means I have to remake it all from the beginning. I'm raging as we speak.

Re: FFR Compilation Pack Of Pure Awesomeness
more reviews I'm a little tired because I spent the entire day at the library, sorry if my tone is a lil' cranky haha
9. (DDRBaller123) Kz (Re-Edit Mix) why do I remember this from Keyboard Ultimax/Xoon 5/other packs from 3-4 years ago?? file doesn't seem like it's changed much either...NO 10. (DDRBaller123) City Lights (Rough Twilight Club Mix) technically proficient, but very very random patterns and simplistic layering. follows basically only one instrument at a time. freezes near the end are also way too long and limit the potential for that part a lot. I didn't necessarily have a bad time playing this, but I think you could do a lot more with this song. NO 11. (DDRBaller123) Rock Ur Body I smiled at the song choice and this file, not going to lie. quit out after the third verse, but it's a decently structured easy file (at least based off Heavy). with a song cut and some tweaking of the layering/patterns, I see this being a pretty dope beginner file. I'll PM you later (sorry I'm tired today aaaagh) CONDITIONAL YES. 12. (DDRBaller123) Winter v2 there are already tons of great files for this song. rejected on song choice. NO 13. (rparty89) World's Fastest Guitar Player 2 paging Rebound right now. NO lol 14. (rparty89) Diavolo quit out near the 24th trill section. misrhythms to the synth/piano 16ths, layering seems unfocused and some of the polyrhythms are inappropriate difficulty spikes. basic structure is solid in most parts, but it needs to be more coherent. NO 15. (rparty89) Freedom Dive rejecting this on song choice + difficulty alone. NO 16. (rparty89) Not Eternity rly nice song choice, chill but plenty going on. file is decent but suffers from a lack of detail (especially in the patterns, which seem very very haphazard to be honest). a lot of those grace notes are actually two grace notes (which is fine if you're simplifying the rhythms, not if you're going for accuracy. just to clarify.) are you sure all of them are 32nds? by ear, it sounds a lot more like 24ths to me. I would accept this file with some pretty heavy revision and a song cut, but as is, probably not. NO 17. (blind) Skate Session song cut is really abrupt. sync should be on 8ths/16ths, not 12ths/24ths. adjust the BPM+offset. file itself is okay albeit pointless until the guitar solo (just a bunch of jumps lol), so I'd suggest stepping some of the background 16ths going to the bass. solo patterns can be simplified a bit. could be a neat short file but NO for now 18. (blind) Warhead basically way too intense, especially with hand usage. tone down the layering a bit. 24ths+16ths are horribly patterned and organized. small misrhythms here and there you might want to check on a slower rate. NO guys, I know I said that there weren't any rules, but you still have to try your best. a lot of these files could have been good but needed a lot more polishing. comment if you need specific details and I'll try and help as much as possible, hopefully these comments aren't too harsh |

Re: FFR Compilation Pack Of Pure Awesomeness
also...it's fine if you submit released files, but I prefer unreleased files b/c we have so many released files already. that said if the files are good all is good. just make sure you let me know so I can mark it as such!!
@Scylaax: Four Pieces Of Heaven and tick are both revised versions, right? the dates on the .sm files are both pretty recent |

Re: FFR Compilation Pack Of Pure Awesomeness
I don't think rparty has ever gotten a file into any pack
and <3 Roar176 stepped this song, I asked him to have it in nuclear blast 3 a couple of years ago

judgments for Scylaax/Charlo's submissions because I'm freaking tired and bored 19. (Scylaax) Four Pieces Of Heaven you can do better than this but this is perfectly fine. YES but I reserve the right to pull this if you submit better files 20. (Scylaax) Heavenly Army sry. weird layering, difficulty spikes here and there...your other three files are better so I'm gon say NO 21. (Scylaax) Log On neato. some of the jumpjack gluts are pretty tough compared to rest of file, though. maybe tone them down in Heavy and make a harder Oni? YES 22. (Scylaax) tick very cool. YES 23. (Charlo) ...In A Movie best of your four submissions. ridiculously fun, reminds me a little of a really old GLoVE file w/o crazy guitar solos. YES 24. (Charlo) Demon Desire reminded me of a Warmen file for some reason lol. I'd accept this but the freezes are a little sloppy in some parts and there are definitely at least a few misrhythms. CONDITIONAL, if you want a more comprehensive look I'l take one later 25. (Charlo) Maximum Overkill just kinda...there. not particularly well-done either. NO 26. (Charlo) Valhalla - Vexilium drags a little compared to Demon Desire. it's not bad but nothing stuck me as particularly great about it. of the two marathon files I think I prefer your other file better NO |

Re: FFR Compilation Pack Of Pure Awesomeness
Yeah I revised tick for a bit haha
However about Four Pieces of Heaven, I just opened the file in the smeditor, I didn't really thought about revising it since I had in memory the fact I couldn't do better since it technically respects the song the most I could do. But my memory must be biased, I'll take the time to look at all my "unreleased" files to see what I can make to increase quality.

Re: FFR Compilation Pack Of Pure Awesomeness
Moches, could you go into detail on skate session. Pm is fine. I don't know why it's 16ths, and not 24ths when it matches... I synced it myself, so an explanation would be greatly appreciated!
