[album!!] RENAISSANCE
DOWNLOAD LINK : https://www.dropbox.com/s/ro0ofgsk3w...ENAISSANCE.zip
So there we are. An album took me about one year to make completely. I'm really proud of it ; in fact after ZHS I thought I was culminating and actually compared to my other album I think the quality curve is just a little bit stronger, but it's still growing in power. For most of you who followed my activity since March there's nothing new for you since I release all of what I make ; this is a compilation of my work since March somehow. It's easier for me to separate my music in "albums" like this, it gives a great perspective of how I'm improving with the time. 1. NEGALOGIC 2. Mechanical Move on Ninpo 3. Yandere Royale 4. Terratsuchi 5. INSAECURE& 6. Luciférique Kaleidoscope 7. Biomechanics Mother 8. Empemonium 9. Xanthystrauma (REVAMP) 10. Dark Edge 11. Orbital Judgement 12. RENEGADE Squad 13. Nefast Ray ~ Supremacy (Noble-Havoc Renaissance) 14. Strayest Romance of Dereliction 15. Kazoku Totalis 16. Valyast Elysium 17. XVII Regenescence ~ Part. 1 18. XVII Regenescence ~ Part. 2 19. Purify All ~ Part. 1 20. Purify All ~ Part. 2 21. ARK OF DARKNESS 22. The Justice Ray 23. The Thank of Earth X. -------stm-------------

Re: [album!!] RENAISSANCE
ACT and Synthetic Anarchist are still my favorites of yours, at ZERO Heavenlygod System your songs started to sound more and more of the same and I think it's the same case here.
(that's not to say stuff like Alcaloid Counter, Forlorn, Arcalogic Last Laws etc. aren't amazing, which they are) I'm all for having your own style but you really don't have to use the same damn lead in every song, because except the notes and drum breaks songs start to sound identical. Not hating on this btw, but just because I see potential in you I want you to branch out and step out of your comfort zone. I really enjoy the piano parts your songs have, for example and then that silly 'mega man x' lead comes in every time and ruins it for me. Sound design, in general, you could also work on. Also this is more of a general feedback to you not specifically toward this release, which I can give you if you wish. PS: Musician criticism aside, your stuff is pretty much always a fun listen and keeps the listener engaged throughout the whole piece. Last edited by Coolboyrulez0; 12-3-2012 at 08:31 AM.. |

Re: [album!!] RENAISSANCE
To be honest, my main interest is merely to compose music, the composition interests me way more than how it sounds, it's why I'm not really excellent at picking instruments (also "The Thank of Earth" is a pure exception, the idea came naturally to me and I don't have ideas like that everytime), they're more of a pretext to make music for me. It's like an area in which I can freely practice my favorite exercise that is composing, picking notes and chords and all, creating a climate.
Anyway, yeah, I thought changing my style and looking for more sonorities once I would release my album since I think I explored all the perspectives of that "personal library" and that's actually what I wanted to do. I don't plan on changing my habits and style about composition (anyway I think it's better to continue on that way) but I'll try to push myself further on the sonorities and all from now on. I'm actually happy someone remarked that hahaha. note : I don't plan to give up on that comfort zone HEH you know, to me it's like an organ for Bach or the piano for Liszt, even though it's (almost) always the same instrument, it's still a nice area in which you can experiment things in the purest form that comes to my mind. It's not a coincidence if I picked these particular instruments, because it's a construction that corresponds best to how I imagine melodies and all, it's a "default area". With love. <3

Re: [album!!] RENAISSANCE
That brings me to the question, have you ever thought of merely composing music and others performing it be that via traditionally or via computers and synthesizers? I really enjoy the mechanical aspect of music, the mixing and mastering and refinement of sound (sound design / engineering if you will but I'm not really excellent at it yet) while you enjoy the, I don't know, humanistic(?) or melodic approach more. You can come up with great melodies and chord progressions which I can't do that well, or easily. basically, what I'm saying is, we should collab sometime :> PS: Listening to this album compared to CIEL, you have come a long way and improved so much as an artist in a short time span (2 years are relative but I still call it short). Props. Last edited by Coolboyrulez0; 12-3-2012 at 08:41 AM.. |

Re: [album!!] RENAISSANCE
Haha thanks guys.
Yeah, you basically identified my approach. If I knew guys who were enthusiastic about the idea of playing the music I would compose (maybe with them I don't know ???) I would gladly agree to do that, I think that would be amazing haha ; if one day I have the opportunity to do that I'll take the initiative like crazy. I'd be very interested in a collab with ya hah, since our weak points are very opposed, they would mix even more naturally ; I'd be VERY interested to see how this would turn out.
