as for HR6, the result was light accept + strong reject = no, that's all.

wait wait *extreme troll section for 5 seconds* wait wait etc. then ending: long and fast 16th jacks PLUS 24th note layering Accepting the file would show a lot of preferential treatment. On a normal scenario, doubtful it would've gone through on a regular batch. However, System Doctor has already been accepted since last year, so that seems like a better alternative. Sorry if you disagree, but what more can I say. Decisions have to be made somehow. |

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
That would be preferable. But there aren't a lot of files available in that range. Provided there were other files of similar difficulty, neither Hungarian Rhapsody nor System Doctor would be the prime choices.

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
Lol this. The file being accepted is not rly a reason to use it, at least not in a tourney that big. I mean, wasn't it possible to ask some pro stepartists to do 1 file to replace the 2 awful choices you have ?? cuz you definately seem to agree that the files you had are not so good (well I hope you agree with this..) but you still used them ;o

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
I have yet to finish the actual song because of lag.
And the fact I'm heavily sleep-deprived and sugar-loaded hardly helps. Callin' it quits in a bit, might see what the hell I can even do tomorrow. |

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
I heard Hungarian was absolutely incredible, still waiting to play it, but I've heard nothing but good things and hearing that it would have been the "perfect 7th".

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
hey, my opinion is probably terrible though
Got 5-0-0-3 on System Doctor - should have been way better but I'm also grateful that I got the FC with how bad that ending went. I completely broke my strategy but managed to piece it together somehow anyway. I'm gonna be practicing the isolation file so that I can get more comfortable doing what I'm doing at the end. (Also: shoutouts to subin, because if it wasn't for me watching him play charts a million different ways at once, I wouldn't be doing this well on System Doctor.) |

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
I really wanted Hungarian as Round 7 but oh well
Surprised Sys Doc wasn't sent to conditional for that ending though, I mean geez.. |

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
A better solution would be to not step files that are mainly a lot of 8th notes and then have a heavy ending. Also with bursts/jacks in small sections around the file.
My untitled 3 file for instance isn't perfect but it has a little bit of everything. 16th streams, jacks with some 32nd transitions, wall transitions, one handed control, and light jumpstream at the end. |
