instead of temp-banning users from ALL the forums, you should make them only able to post in TGB.

Actually, it would be cool to have a type of partial ban where someone could only post in TGB. I think it could help clean up the forum. If someone was too much of an ass they could be permanently partial-banned and then they could still be in the community but without causing too much disruption.

The 1-99 isn't temporary, it is simply the secondary rating system that will sort the 1-20 groups a little more thoroughly.

guess you guys should relax .., i cant imagine how much work and effort you have to put in such a close difficulty rating .., imagine how precisely you have to set the difficulties if you can rate from 1- 99 ..
I for myself couldnt do that tho ..., Yet i really like the new difficulty-ratings, 1000 times better than the old ones, yet i guess there will be many persons who may cry about some files being a 59 rather than a 60 or whatsoever .., but well, keep it up, and THANKS for that ratings ![]()

I would like to see the Token level ranks page with the same layout as the Public level ranks. It would make more sense this way.

Skill token idea: Get a rank on a song as same as your combo.
That'd definitely be a challenge. Also for AAA's you should multiply the credits you get by like 1.2 or something. |

+1 to the idea of a credit multiplier for AAAs. Would really encourage new players to get good scores while cutting down on the begging.

then also like 1.5 for sightread AAA, and 1.1 for sightread FC, etc.

Things for sightread's would probably be difficult to do as restarts don't count as plays. Also Velocity is mostly done coding engines and just does things when fixes are required.

I understand. I just thought a credit multiplier was a good idea because everyone know a AAA is way better than like 2-1-1-8 but they get the same amount of credits really

Actually that's not entirely true, missing destroys combo scoring because the max combo helps decide the overall score, and you get 1 credit per 50k up to 3 million/60 credits. In all honesty though just playing the game over and over doesn't get you many credits, the real way to get them is participating in user tournaments.

I mean it's really more of a motivation to get better scores. And another good way to get sightread AAA is whenever you never played the song, your previous rank on the song is 0.

I don't think the idea of giving credits for a sightread accomplishment is a good one. I do think it would be cool to give extra credits for beating your own personal best rank (as long as it's above a certain percent, like say 50% of the 1st place score) or getting an FC or AAA. I think TS does something like this.

a random button on the velocity engine that you can press without pressing the "songs" tab would be nice so long as it follows whatever restrictions you already have in place.
even better add it to the results screen so you can just keep playing.
