Good luck. I'm on track and I run the half mile, the mile, and the 2 mile, plus whatever relay my coach sticks me in every meet. I never lose either. Once I get going, I just don't stop. But yeah good luck to you, pratice hard, run fast, and when you think you've reached your limit, run faster. (so nice to know we have another track runner around here.)

I might be in a meet on Saturday.

I run the 100, the 200, and sometimes the 4x100.

Too bad I am slow as hell whenever I am in a meet. =/

What's your best on the long jump?

I was in track in like...4th grade. I got 11 feet back then if memory serves me.

I also used to run the 100 meter. I was never timed, but I always came in first.

I hope track is fun for you, because in spring track there are at least two 12-hour meets on Saturdays. Every day after practice, I do homework, eat, watch TV and crash.

I used to do track in school. Ran 800 and 1500m, also did high jump and whatever relays were around. Was never so good at the running but was the bomb at high jump!
Good luck and compete hard. Don't forget to eat pasta the night before a meet and drink lots of fluids on the day.
Let us know how you do...

I don't think 14.5 ft is too bad at all. I know our best jumper does 20 ft, though.
Bummer on the hamstring. Don't expect it to go away quickly.

I do 100, 200, 4X1, 4x2. Our season also stated back in Februar, and we recently finished the season 9-0. So we got our championship. I do have a relay meet today though.

I think I ran a 12.7 for the 1, and a 25.6 for the 2 . Not bad for a freshman.

Track is not fun, but my parents make me participate in one sport and I'd rather do it than football or some other dumb sport involving balls and fat people slapping your ass.

I run the 400.

Finally! A thread about my favorite sport! Anyways, I have an Invitational today versus all of the high schools in my district. My 4x800 team and I hope to win first place today, seeing as though were undefeated in the district for 5 meets now. Plus I'll also be running the 400 meter dash, the 800 meter open run, and maybe the 4x400 relay, if my coach tells me too.
