Lag Spikes
All day, everyday. Indeed engine, Dragon's Fury engine, Velocity's engine (all standalone versions) have been ****ing me over.. has this been happening to anyone else? I'm sure at this point it's just me since I haven't seen anyone else complaining.

Re: Lag Spikes
I get a bit of lag even on standalone but I have 256 mb of ram and a terrible processor on my main computer I use. Have you tried setting your computer to it's highest performance? You go to my computer, right click properties or just click it, go to advanced, it will say performance on the top, click settings and change to highest peformance

Re: Lag Spikes
I think it's just FFR period. Every comp I've ever tried to play on since the beginning of time lagged with FFR. My comp right now runs on an i5 3.0ghz proccessor, 16 GB DDR3 ram, and a Geforce GTX 560 Ti graphics card. Even with all this, FFR lags.

Re: Lag Spikes
No it's definitely not FFR...I play it perfectly fine and my computer doesn't have as good of specs as that.

Re: Lag Spikes
My computer has 4 gigs of RAM, I run Game Booster 3, I have Windows 7 set to Windows Classic Theme, I've disabled my anti-virus (it likes to randomly update at the end of a song). The one thing that I found made a significant difference with FFR lag is setting your resolution lower. I was at 1900x1080 and I brought it down to 1440x900.
Although I only do it when I play FFR, it does make a significant difference and I never lag anymore. Flash just sucks overall. n.n

Re: Lag Spikes
I know this was said already, but I can honestly say that using a standalone + Windows classic theme will give you the results you want.
If it doesn't, it's because your computer is running a process that is lagging your flash player. I guarantee it. I've seen sooooooo many people with lag issues that are fixed when switched to Windows Classic theme, and on standalone.

This is bullcrap... i5 and i7 are suppose to be L337... I can play games like Crysis on maxed out settings, but I have to tune down for a game like FFR? This is nonsense. Last edited by CobaltWire; 01-20-2012 at 05:19 PM.. |

Re: Lag Spikes
I had tried everything else, but the single greatest improvement was lowering my screen resolution. I can even play multiplayer now without lag

Re: Lag Spikes
Old FFR engine does too much, and flash doesn't have multi-threading.
Therefore suck.
