I never played three so I can't judge it. Although I've read and been told that it's a lot like 5 but on the NES. I haven't played MQ either but in general if it didn't even warrant a place in the series, then it probably isn't very good.

Of the ones I've played, I rank them in the order 6, 5, 4, 1, 2. I recognize that four is the superior game, but five was the first FF I ever played all the way through, so I irrationally place it higher just out of nostalgia.
