Re: NHL Playoffs Predictions (Credit Giveaway)
Crazy how Burrows snatched the puck from the air, and scored. And here come the Red Wings...

Well this is one of the first times I've ever been glad to be wrong.
I'm sorry I doubted you. GO FLYERS!

Re: NHL Playoffs Predictions (Credit Giveaway)
Vancouver and Nashville will be a tense series. I wasn't expecting Nashville to beat Anaheim, but I was pleasantly suprised when I saw that they had.
An excellent game 7 tonight, on the edge of my seat for the 3rd and into OT. GO TAMPA! GO HABS! Last edited by Kraezymann; 04-27-2011 at 12:40 AM.. |

Re: NHL Playoffs Predictions (Credit Giveaway)
AWWWWWWWWWWRIGHT!
RE-CAP: - MON/BOS: Canada lives v1! Lucic hit cost them dearly (I don't think there will be a suspension though. 5 and a game is enough), and then Bergeron's failure of a clear. Downfall of the Habs. Price was solid and we're going back to Beantown for a game 7! - PHI/BUF: Game 7 v1. Wow... Just wow... Did Enroth take Miller's jersey for the first two periods? That first goal was just brutal. Either way, in a game where everyone thought it would be close yet again, Philadelphia runs away with it to win this series. Out the the 12 participants this round, the record is: 9-3. Once again, we had a few people calling upset, but the majority called for Philly. - VAN/CHI: GO CANADA v2! Game 7 v2! I'm going to sound biased, but can we all agree that was THE game, let alone THE series of this round? Holy wow. Crawford and Luongo both stood tall for their teams (I still can't believe Crawford robbed Kesler like that..) and Toews-er finally got his goal, but in the end, a great forecheck and solo effort by Alexandre Burrows seals it for Vancouver who finally break the Chicago hump. Out the the 12 participants this round, the record is: 10-2. Varley was banking on Chi-town to repeat and Suicidal was counting on his hometown team to take it, but the majority wins again. Update coming and two more game 7's. After they are over, I will post round 2 and start taking bets. Anyone CAN join. Also, because I can: Last edited by T-Force; 04-27-2011 at 02:32 AM.. |

Re: NHL Playoffs Predictions (Credit Giveaway)
Whoops. No idea how I missed that.
And Sten, all those calls were legit. Not to mention, the Bruins got like 3 straight powerplays. Not our fault they can't set it up without it being cleared 5 seconds later. |

Re: NHL Playoffs Predictions (Credit Giveaway)
Round 1 is over, and with it, my final round 1 recap!
- BOS/MON: How fitting that this game needed a last-minute special teams goal to send this to overtime? Sounds almost familiar. And once again the home team wins as Boston buries the game 7 demon to advance.. to yet another demon in the Philadelphia Flyers. Out the the 12 participants this round, the record is: 5-7. The favourites were the underdogs and came out on top. - PIT/TBL: If there was a better road effort in a game 7, I want to see it because this was textbook win-on-the-road: Chapter 7. Tampa upsets Pittsburgh and pulls off the come from 2-1 down to take it. Out the the 12 participants this round, the record is: 8-4. Not too many were banking on Pittsburgh without Crosby and Malkin and that was a good guess. Updates will be up. And for the record, I will hand out all credits at the end of the playoffs, so your totals won't raise tonight. Also, for round 2, all correct guesses are once again worth 100, and if someone gets all 4 right, they will win a bonus 600 for a total of 1000. Congratulations to flashpantss for having the best record for round 1 going 7-1; suicidalfatman and hi_top each share a basement suite as they're .500 each with 4-4 records. I do whenever I get a chance. Rarely do I get time to sit down and enjoy an entire game. So usually it just watching sportcenter the next morning.
