The previous version I got from Kommi, with more jumps and tricky sections, was more fun and challenging, in my honest opinion. :/

Re: Light Chancellors Pack 3 -The Finale- (Released)
Played about 1/3 of the pack (not in any particular order, mostly going off of recommendations), and Hero is the only file I've been able to play all the way through so far.
Actually a decent percentage for me. |

Re: Light Chancellors Pack 3 -The Finale- (Released)
finally finished my reviews haha. now with grade ratings so you can brag to all your internet friends about your SPA
A Castle Under Siege (Detrimentalist) [1 chart] fun, hard scoring file. awkward polyrhythms but in this case they fit with the file. reminds me of a Puppet file honestly B- A Shadow in the Blue Sky (HST) [1 chart] still incredible for the most part, love the jack theory and double hits for the strings. i would have expressed a few things differently but it doesn't stop the file from being fun as balls B+ Aha! (Vospi) [1 chart] liked the 16ths/24ths when they were there but for the most part this was just a handsmash file. some great parts and some lame parts C ALL MY TURN (Roar) [1 chart] 32nd roll patterns = Roar I am disappoint. otherwise this file makes me want to get on the dancefloor and shake it until the end of time B Autumn Insomnia Session (Rog) [2 charts] great use of jacks. artistic and innovative scoring file. A Ax and Shield (leonid & Gundam-Dude) [2 charts] @ Gundam: a little sparse in the piano sections but great flow all in all. very enjoyable. B @ leonid: quit out after the first fast section. it has tons of scoring elements but the file isn't really my cup of tea. [no grade] Burning Halloween Town (Scylaax) [3 charts] much better than I remember it. it's cramped like every single one of your other files but I had a lot of fun with the flow of this (g.j. keeping it tense throughout). honestly only problem I really see is that freezes could have been used with some more discretion B+ Cansei de S NIK (Roar) [1 chart] owns. straightforward but plenty of variety. liked the dubstep breakdown at the end. B+ Capital City of Flowers in the Sky ~ Bridge of the Lotus (Ophi) [1 chart] uh if you're going to use green color theory keep it consistent by making every note green; the jump/hand jack patterns were incredibly hard to read and hit because of this. otherwise nice, easy but has a good climax and it kept me engaged throughout. C+ Car Sax (moches) [1 chart] personally there's a lot about this file I dig. [no grade] Chrometaphor (leonid) [1 chart] I'll admit this didn't click with me on the first run but this file clicked with me the second time. superb concept and everything in the file serves it purpose wonderfully. really slick file, probably one of your best A- Confidence in the DOMINATION (Puppet) [1 chart] insane. just the right length for a scoring file too. B Dark Cave (moches) [1 chart] secret santa pack hohoho. hopefully a good scoring file. [no grade] Demystify Feast -Speedy Devil- (Kommisar) [3 charts] solid file. a little generic (and how many versions of this song are people going to step) but impeccable flow throughout. B+ Digital Love (Rog) [2 charts] this is like a cross of Light Chancellor's OP and Venom's Theme, haha. going to be a doozy for people to FC B- Donations Please -nonstop NEW RICH shrine mix- (Gundam-Dude) [2 charts] such a heavy file. I love it. pretty much Ass Anchor on crack A- El Dorado (TranceCore) [2 charts] gaaah you didn't fix the hihats at the end like I told you to. oh well, this is still plenty of fun. not very technical but I get that's not really your style B Epsilon-Delta (melonid) [1 chart] geez, I dunno. some good ideas in this but the song kills the file a little because of how samey it is. could use a climax or something although I'll admit this is going to be megawhored by scoreboard maniacs C- Ergosphere (Jimerax) [1 chart] different song version? whatevs. great file. B Ferris Wheel (Don) [1 chart] really well-made and all but I feel like it was kinda empty...maybe it's just that it was so easy, but I didn't feel like you completely captured the song. C+ Finders Keepers (Rebound) [1 chart] orgasmic file except for the beginning where you used the same jump pattern even though the chords were changing. loved the way you accentuated the percussion and the ending mines threw me off quite a bit. A Firepower (Rog) [2 charts] you, sir, win this game Z Flaxen Necklace (Scylaax) [1 chart] the way you layered the instruments made it feel very hectic in this file. other than the violin solo, didn't really enjoy this. sorry :/ C- Futuristic Imagination (Gundam-Dude) [4 charts] fun simple file although some of the color theory feels gratuitous A- Galaxy Forest 11.6&12 (TranceCore) [3 charts] you always have such nice song choice. file's pretty sweet, takes a while to get into but I enjoyed trying to MA all of the weird tempo changes and piano flourishes and such. good length and replayability as well (although some of those hands followed by a single note like one 64th down are serious ragebait) B Hatsune Miku no Tomadoi (Kommisar vs. Kory) [1 chart] it's good for scoring and the 12th sections are fun, but overall I feel like I've played this file before. mine usage was pretty creative, except for one AWFUL cluster around 300~400 combo. B- Hero (Kommisar & Gundam-Dude) [3 charts] you two own for reals. HUGE potential for scoring. A- HEXAD (Sargon) [3 charts] personally, this entire file is a blast. it feels like a Ferrari file with all the jack theory but you made it yours so congrats. A I Love (Orange Things) (who_care973) [1 chart + 1 Solo chart] haha the color gimmick in this rules. very interesting and chill file. A- Ievan Polkka (Rin&Len Ver.) (Jimerax) [3 charts] decent file, interesting jacks and 48th gallops. the whole thing feels vaguely uncomfortable though and I can't really pinpoint why C+ Kurokami Midareshi Shura to Narite (Don & HST) I'm not going to favor one of these over the other because I enjoyed both...HST did a better job with the chorus but I kinda enjoyed Don's flow more so call this a tie B (for both files) Last Burning (who_cares973) [3 charts] solid file. B Lord of the Dance (who_cares973) [1 chart] stargroup would be proud. B+ Love is Orange (Don) [1 chart] started out pretty lame but then perked up in the second half. liked this more than Ferris Wheel tbh B- Macuilxochitl (leonid) [1 chart] straightforward and enjoyable. flow is really good B MARIA&JOKER (Sargon) [5 charts] sick. full of little quirks and melodies that make this great for replaying A- Mathsma Attack (Kommisar) [1 chart] incredible and probably one of my favorite files in the pack. simple but delightfully difficult; can't wait for the unrated DVD release A Miles (Puppet) [1 chart] I really enjoy parts of this but other parts feel incomplete/weird. when you were just following the background chords, I'd have layered some more of the percussion in, and the end was fun to hit but didn't really feel like it captured the song well. overall not my fave from you but at least there's some redeemable aspects to this C+ Never Fade Away (moches) [1 chart] I'm kinda addicted to this song. Sota Fujimori does great work [no grade] Nova Man's Stage (Kommisar) [1 chart] oh Kommi and his Jen-Erik jumpstream files. in all seriousness it does have some MA value though C+ PDM (Wineandbread) [2 charts] I.........really do not know what to say about this file. there's a lot of elements to this that I dig: the constant percussion switchups, the little flourishes, and the song, but the entire thing feels cramped and inconsistent (mostly because of hand density). also HUGE 8th downjack in the middle, check for that. overall I'm not sure if I like or hate this EDIT: yeah still awkward and weird for me. not really my jam C- Prime Song (Wineandbread) [2 charts] when did you turn into HST. blew me away; artistic, great mine usage and rhythms, and the song rules too. easily your best file to date A Radiant (Gundam-Dude) [4 charts] I really cannot understand the logic behind the synth freezes in this file. all of them are the same sound, but there's random grace notes everywhere (if they're not random they still FEEL random), the freeze lengths are schizophrenic, and the fact that a lot of them are doubles just feels strange. I actually enjoyed everything else about this file, so it's a shame I needed to rant about that, but when I do these reviews I try to make sure I'm being fair to everyone. you've made a buttload of incredible files, but I just didn't happen to like this one very much. C+ Radiant Radiant Symphony (Ophi) [2 charts] this song has been stepped over 9000 times, but I found myself enjoying this nontheless. if it's not completely outstanding (some of the burst patterns made me go >.>) you at least made it unique. B- Rainbow Tylenol (Baq12) [1 chart] okay this started decently fun with the 16ths, but once the jumps came in I went ???? and quit out. if you're an MA perfectionist, this is servicable quad fodder. D Rebirth the Edge (Lynn) [1 chart] very very rigid layering structure which really limits your flow/expression but I gotta say this is technically flawless. it's a decent file and different enough from Don's to merit at least a play or two B- Rival (leonid) [1 chart] at first I was going to complain about the jacks but I found myself digging them so props. basically all the guitar solos are amazing and the rest of the file is a rehash of Patashu's Take This Life--not a bad combination at all. +1 for the hilarious BGA B+ Scarlet Rose (Rebound) [1 chart] great, great file. probably my fave from Rebound along with Finders Keepers. reaally sick improvement bro A- Scott Pilgrim's Theme (leonid) [2 charts] kinda bland, even for a MA file. I think a solo convert of this could be good C- Serpent (Vospi) [1 chart] community proposal: rename Ossa Syndrome -> Vospi Syndrome y/n? the beginning reminds me of a Tripping Contact knock-off but once it got into the insaneous solo it took on a life of its own. normally I hate dumpy freezefests but this is an exception; it's loaded with replayability and the song rules so good job B+ Snow Fox (Scylaax) [1 chart] the first two-thirds of this was pretty durn good: the flow seemed very good save the rigid [34][34][34][34][34] jack and the freezes were well-utilized. the ending, however, pretty much threw everything from the rest of the file out the window for the sake of having a climax...overall it has its pros and cons but I kinda feel this was a wasted opportunity B Stage 1-1 (Ferrari) [1 chart] this felt slightly weird. maybe it's because it's so sparse but there are still jacks strewn about everywhere, which throws the balance off. I still enjoyed this for what it was, though: a relaxing easy MA file with a few surprises thrown in. btw nice mines B Suimen Shizuka ni Daichi no Retsujitsu Watarasete (Don) [1 chart] heh, I liked this. the flow was pretty much perfect B+ Summer Vacation (Kommisar) [1 chart] Kommisar has the market cornered on chiptune files B+ Sweet Dream (Sargon & Gundam-Dude) [4 charts] @GD: a lot of the times you're accentuating weird guitar work in the background, which is not a bad thing but because it's so quiet compared to the beats it ends up feeling very weird. maybe it's because of all the freezes? fun file otherwise @Sargon: sure, this is pretty good for an old-schoolish file B (for both files) T&J (TranceCore & leonid) [1 chart] everything a scoring file should be. one of my favorite leonid files A The Rapids (Kommisar) [1 chart] extreme file. some iffy patterns but the whole thing is well constructed. A- Theme of Bomber King (Jimerax) [1 chart] ver fun for such a short file. beginning caught me off guard hehe B+ Theme Song to Cex (Rog & TC) [1 chart] mood is too whiplashy. can't really see myself playing this for anything other than to FC. C- Umbral Ultimatum (Detrimentalist) [1 chart] excellent file, like Puppet said this is very similar to Sin and I think you're heading in that kind of direction as a stepartist in general. you have a solid grasp of freeze usage and pattern organization which I think is going to help you a lot in the long run. good work, will play again. B+ Vanished Truth (Gundam-Dude & Detrimentalist) [2 charts + 1 Solo chart] not about the file, but the chorus to this song is incredible. good file too, I know you put that 232323 trill there just to piss me off but I still love you <3 B+ Voyage to the Outside World (Rebound) [1 chart] Outsider win. strange flow at points but another solid Rebound file. B Walk on Water (Scylaax) [1 chart] damn this was pretty fun at parts even though the bursts + long freezes made me want to bite something B- World's Most Wanted Weiner (who_cares973) [1 chart] lmao the background. unique and tons of fun to MA. could use a few freezes (like poopit said) B favorite files Autumn Insomnia Session Burning Halloween Town Chrometaphor Donations Please Finders Keepers Futuristic Imagination Scarlet Rose The Rapids Masthma Attack T&J Hero HEXAD Prime Song Never Fade Away Maria&Joker I Love (Orange Things) overall: for such a large pack I'm really glad that we managed to keep the files diverse and for the most part quality. great work to everybody involved in the pack and I'll look forward to playing whatever you guys come up with next. pack rating: A- (yeah, this is much higher than the grade average but I'm also taking the number of replayable files in account.) Re: Light Chancellors Pack 3 -The Finale- (Released)
o i meant i was going to finish playing this pack one day haha
i'd love to make a pack eventually, and was even going to do a modern/mainstream music pack but the trip is making judgment calls on what fits that criteria and what doesn't (i abandoned it last time when people kept asking to do remixes and joke files and crap and actually fuc it brb

Re: Light Chancellors Pack 3 -The Finale- (Released)
Am I going to do the whole pack? Yes. Have I done this all yet? No.
A Castle Under Siege (Detrimentalist) [1 chart] A Shadow in the Blue Sky (HST) [1 chart] As fun as I remember the original release of it. Classy, artsy, and while still awkward, I'll take it. B+ Aha! (Vospi) [1 chart] Those freezes are so ****ing stupid. Other than that it's synced, but goddamn those freezes. Not worth much play value here. D ALL MY TURN (Roar) [1 chart] Autumn Insomnia Session (Rog) [2 charts] Ax and Shield (leonid & Gundam-Dude) [2 charts] Burning Halloween Town (Scylaax) [3 charts] Cansei de S NIK (Roar) [1 chart] Capital City of Flowers in the Sky ~ Bridge of the Lotus (Ophi) [1 chart] Car Sax (moches) [1 chart] Chrometaphor (leonid) [1 chart] Confidence in the DOMINATION (Puppet) [1 chart] Kinda fun but for some reason GD's mp3 for the song seems cleaner. Plus, weird jacks and green notes, but the colored freezes accent the file well, and it's... not half-bad to tap. Good job. B- Dark Cave (moches) [1 chart] Demystify Feast -Speedy Devil- (Kommisar) [3 charts] Digital Love (Rog) [2 charts] Donations Please -nonstop NEW RICH shrine mix- (Gundam-Dude) [2 charts] El Dorado (TranceCore) [2 charts] Epsilon-Delta (melonid) [1 chart] Ergosphere (Jimerax) [1 chart] Ferris Wheel (Don) [1 chart] Finders Keepers (Rebound) [1 chart] Firepower (Rog) [2 charts] Flaxen Necklace (Scylaax) [1 chart] Futuristic Imagination (Gundam-Dude) [4 charts] Galaxy Forest 11.6&12 (TranceCore) [3 charts] Hatsune Miku no Tomadoi (Kommisar vs. Kory) [1 chart] Hero (Kommisar & Gundam-Dude) [3 charts] Pimp. Very very pimp. Outsider's music seems to make awesome chart potential (Loner, this, etc.) A HEXAD (Sargon) [3 charts] I Love (Orange Things) (who_care973) [1 chart + 1 Solo chart] Ievan Polkka (Rin&Len Ver.) (Jimerax) [3 charts] Kurokami Midareshi Shura to Narite (Don) [1 chart] This is okay... but it looks generic and the BPM changes are just aesthetic, it seems. Not bad, but... I honestly prefer HST's, and this one's just a little too easy and bland for my tastes. B Kurokami Midareshi Shura to Narite (HST) [1 chart] More art-oriented than Don's, but it feels... off. So many jacks. Nice climax jacks though, and I really enjoy the freezes being so decorative and pertinent to background stuff under the chorus. This one gets my vote. A- Last Burning (who_cares973) [3 charts] Lord of the Dance (who_cares973) [1 chart] Love is Orange (Don) [1 chart] Macuilxochitl (leonid) [1 chart] MARIA&JOKER (Sargon) [5 charts] Mathsma Attack (Kommisar) [1 chart] Miles (Puppet) [1 chart] I actually have some shit to say on this. *shock* The beginning (m1-m9) was spectacular. Accents look and tap great. Almost a perfect way to start off the file. The second part (m9-m17) seemed to shy from the accents. Somewhat bland. Next (m17-33) was mostly freezes, and while that's okay, I would've liked to see more mines to help accentuate the background tones. The next part of the song (m33-m50)... highly expressive, fun to tap out, and well-colored with appropriate mines. The finale (m50-end) seemed like a nice way to finish off. It encompasses climax theory with the second riff adding jumps, a few freezes, and extra mines. No color, but whatever. You did that enough already. :3 Overall: Pretty ****in' good. A few miffs I had in select places, but overall it's solid and enjoyable. It combines some art, technicality, theories, PR, and rolls them into a solid collection of notes. Replayable, and a worthy restep of an ODI2-era song. A- Never Fade Away (moches) [1 chart] Nova Man's Stage (Kommisar) [1 chart] PDM (Wineandbread) [2 charts] Prime Song (Wineandbread) [2 charts] Radiant (Gundam-Dude) [4 charts] Radiant Radiant Symphony (Ophi) [2 charts] Rainbow Tylenol (Baq12) [1 chart] Uh. Dude. What up with all those handjacks. Not cool. And the song? Annoying as ****shit. No value whatsoever here. F Rebirth the Edge (Lynn) [1 chart] Rival (leonid) [1 chart] That background video made me lol. As for the file... nice. Fun to tap and though some parts are just annoying it overall left a good impression on me. B+ Scarlet Rose (Rebound) [1 chart] Scott Pilgrim's Theme (leonid) [2 charts] Boring. But, well, that's the song for ya. C- Serpent (Vospi) [1 chart] At first, I was about to give you a triple-F of ****ing-Failure, ****er. Then I replayed it... and although those freezes piss me the hell off, it's actually a lot better put together than your other file. Well done in that regard, but seriously, ****ing goddamn those freezes. They make it nigh unplayable for me. D+ Snow Fox (Scylaax) [1 chart] Stage 1-1 (Ferrari) [1 chart] Suimen Shizuka ni Daichi no Retsujitsu Watarasete (Don) [1 chart] Summer Vacation (Kommisar) [1 chart] Sweet Dream (Sargon & Gundam-Dude) [4 charts] T&J (TranceCore & leonid) [1 chart] The Rapids (Kommisar) [1 chart] Theme of Bomber King (Jimerax) [1 chart] Theme Song to Cex (Rog & TC) [1 chart] Umbral Ultimatum (Detrimentalist) [1 chart] Vanished Truth (Gundam-Dude & Detrimentalist) [2 charts + 1 Solo chart] Voyage to the Outside World (Rebound) [1 chart] Walk on Water (Scylaax) [1 chart] World's Most Wanted Weiner (who_cares973) [1 chart]
