I don't feel like that is a factor. Why would performance be the only point to music? It's silly how critical some of you people are of these people when you can't even hope to do what they do.

I don't even care for singing or playing the guitar but even if I hated their music that doesn't mean they are terrible musicians.

For one thing, you can be a critic without being good at something. Your criticism may have more credence to it if you ARE good at it, but the point still stands.

At any rate, I think they're fine musicians, but all their music sounds too similar to me.

They had pretty serious problems during their tours in the US. I don't know the details of it all but my cousin was at one of their shows in Denver and he said they started almost an hour late.

Apparently Ultra Beatdown EU tour was better. Too bad I don't live in Europe. :/

Controversy for DragonForce occurred in late 2006 shortly after the Inhuman Rampage tour gained larger audiences in later cities. The band had many technical difficulties with the guitars, which is deemed to be the most "stand-out feature" in their music. The band also drop-tuned their instruments to E-flat tuning on that tour. This, coupled with low-quality recordings of the live performances that were subsequently uploaded to the Internet, created rumors of the band speeding up their music in-studio due to being unable to perform it live at such speeds. Although these rumors were disproved by subsequent tours where the band performed their music at the same speed as it appears on the albums. Herman Li stated, "Graspop Metal Meeting of 2006 was [a] total disaster. The technician we had back then didn't even tune the guitar, and no monitoring was done properly. We didn't hear anything...". He also said that most of the Inhuman Rampage tour was bad overall due to technical difficulties.[9]

But at the same time people find a song they like and look up the artist only to find they don't like any of their other music because it is so different.

I never said they were terrible musicians because I am a musician and respect anyone who plays an instrument. I'm only being critical because I have listened to all of their albums for years and they finally get to tour the U.S. only to be totally disappointed that they can't replicate 90% of what's on the albums. Solos and breakdowns sounded awful nothing was in sync the only member that was really keeping tempo was the drummer so that's a factor right there.
