Re: The Last Book You Read, etc, etc
I got Mark Z. Danielewski's House Of Leaves for christmas, so I think I'm going to definitely make my way to reading that straight after Crime And Punishment

Re: The Last Book You Read, etc, etc
I finished The Pact by Jodi Picoult and Official Book Club Selection (Kathy Griffin's memoir). Both were an absolute delight; the latter was also hilarious and shocking.
And now I'm reading Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood, followed by Year of the Flood (connected through characters from each book). Last edited by smartdude1212; 12-26-2010 at 11:33 PM.. |

Re: The Last Book You Read, etc, etc
Hm.. Last book I read was probably All The Kings Men by Robert Penn Warren. It was a pretty good book. I like reading about politics. xD I never want to get involved in them though.
I'm currently reading Flowers In The Attic/Petals On The Wind by V.C. Andrews. Very good book. A bit odd though, if you ask me... My favorite book would have to be Unwind by Neal Shusterman. Another fairly odd book. Any of his books are very good, in my opinion though. Love them all. [: |

Re: The Last Book You Read, etc, etc
After months of being pestered by my ex, I finally read The Hunger Games.
It was actually pretty good. It had a few huge glaring flaws, but I'm able to overlook them because on the whole, it was a really enjoyable read. And I'm really looking forward to the second one. |

Re: The Last Book You Read, etc, etc
That was a good series. I've read all of them. xD And own all of them.. Haha. The second was a slow read at first, but closer to the end it got REALLY good. The third was iffy. I liked it, but... Not nearly as much as the first two.

Re: The Last Book You Read, etc, etc
I'll definitely try to remember! So far, it seems quite interesting - I'm not too far into the book, mind (around about the second chapter), but so far I'm really enjoying the enigmatic atmosphere the book has formed. It's definitely a challenging read, too. I'll share more of my opinion on the book as I continue to read it.

The last book I finished was Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick, it was pretty good in it's own right.
Right now I'm reading Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert Heinlein, and its pretty go so far, but right now i'm about 3/4 into it and I'm starting to get impatient with it, it seems like it should have ended 2 chapters ago... |

Can't even remember. I believe it was the last book in the A Song of Ice and Fire series. The last published book so far, I should say.

Reading Wuthering Heights for AP Lit right now.
Not really fond of it so far but seems applicable to a lot of possible prompts and essays. |

Re: The Last Book You Read, etc, etc
Wuthering Heights would be the last book I read through, which was around December. I read quite little, even when given nice long opportunities to do so on train commutes to university. I had to study it for English class about 3 years ago and for some reason it since became one of my favourite reads. I read through a 700 biography about Michael Jackson before that.
