the time has come...
after 4.64 years of being one hell of a dedicated one-hander, I just think it's time to give it up.
I'm not at a wall or anything like that, it's just that not only am I becoming bored playing JUST one-handed, it's the fact that I know I'll never be one of those guys where people say, "oh shit it's ghost-, he puts up some spectacular scores!" By far my best score is an A on Fury of the Storm, which I personally think is damn good for a one-hander. I just don't stick out playing only one-handed, and so I'm going to start playing more spread than anything. (not to say I'll stick out there either, but yeah) I'm not quitting one-handing entirely, I'll just play it way less often. So goodbye itching my nose while playing, goodbye drinking my dr pepper while playing, goodbye D2/D3 in the FFR tourney, good bye all that good stuff, time to move on. Here's that FotS score that I'm sure nobody cares about. ;/ Well, what's a good starting key setup? I have no prior experience with playing with my left hand, it's going to be awkward. |

Re: the time has come...
I randomly tried 2 hands one day, and it felt mildly normal. Just ease yourself into it.
I've seen lots of people on the site use key setups like askl and whatnot, or 2 hands on the arrows. I use my fght keys to make arrows in the center of my keyboard...Works okay for me . Everything else seems funny Play how you start to feel comfortable.

Re: the time has come...
I'm a fan of setups like qwer because I suck at extended trills. All 4 keys being next to each other allows me to index said trills.

Re: the time has come...
I play dfjk, I wonder if there's something bad about that. Also, can't do right handed trills, I've tried the concave setup but it just doesn't work for me

Re: the time has come...
Experiment with multiple settings. I ended up going through at least 5 set ups. I found out my best set up is AFJ; with index and ring finger. I can't play with my middle fingers very well. I'm better with my pinkies than my middle fingers, haha.

Re: the time has come...
You might find solo interesting. I can't play spread for too long or I feel like I'm not moving other parts of my hand enough.

Re: the time has come...
I've never personally tried seriously to adapt to concave, but I hear it's easier on the hands.

Re: the time has come...
Same set up, same problem. I wonder if there is some physical reason for it. Either that or we both just suck at right handed trills.

Re: the time has come...
concave is more natural to me... my fingers are normal though (as in my index is shorter than my ring) my fingers just fit scnk better than askl cuz my index finger is at like full extension playing that way
