Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
Has anybody ever seen? I just rented it and watched it on my PS3 and I gotta say, I actually loved it. I know it came out like 48 years ago but I never had a chance to see it.
In case you can't remember it's that movie about this wimpy kid beating these exes of this chick. there's "7 evil exes" blah blah. I wanna know your thoughts on it, and if you want, tell me what movie I should rent next. |

the best movie ever, it's my favorite. I just love the way he is (like with the hat), how he acts and everything. I love Michael Cera, so that might be why I love it so much though. either way, amazing movie. <3

Re: Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
yeah kick-ass was awesome, but I was just blown away by Scott Pilgrim because I've been wanting a movie like that for a while. Where it's like a video game everywhere and it skips the boring crap. Every scene was a fight scene and that to me gets a spot on my top 10 i dunno.

Re: Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
Scott Pilgrim was an entertaining movie, but it unfortunately didn't recoup its budget at the box office. As someone who loves video games, though, I liked it a lot... Knives Chau was pretty cute, too.

Re: Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
I would have expected it to do pretty well too. It was an entertaining movie. I would have just stayed with knives, forget that slut.

Re: Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
It did well considering that it's a rather cult-classic-y niche-y movie, but it fell short by a bit over 10 million (47 million vs. a 60 million net budget). It's a pretty hit-or-miss target demographic.
It also doesn't help that Cera plays the same character in almost every movie. I actually didn't like his performance, personally -- but I enjoyed the visuals/script/fight sequences. |

I couldn't get through the movie because of him.

Even though I hate Cera, I enjoyed the movie a lot.
Some other movies I enjoyed from last year are (not in this order): Prince of Persia Karate Kid Salt Tangled

Re: Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
Very enjoyable, saw it twice already [alone & with friends], might watch it a third time.
You notice all kinds of symbolism (numbers, X's) if you re-watch. Very fun movie, probably one of the most enjoyable ones I've seen in quite a while. |

Re: Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
Scott Pilgrim Comics > Movie
But, the movie was still awesome. It actually stuck close to the comics, but there's a lot more to the story than what was shown in the movie.

Good movie, better comic. I'd recommend both.
