http://www.farfallas.com/scripts/shift.php Paste your beatbox string in the large textarea, and input the amount you want to subtract from all the numbers in the "subtract" field. Hit submit and the new beatbox string shall be outputted below. Just don't input anything non-numeric in the "subtract" field or it will likely behave abnormally. Let me know if you find any bugs or whatever. Edit: added a bit of error-proofing for negative and non-numeric input Last edited by scl1604; 11-1-2010 at 10:53 AM.. |

Re: ITT you request isolation files for practice
Cool -- can you add in a function that lets you choose what to scale it back to?
So if I input a scale-to variable as 69, it'll move everything down accordingly?

Re: ITT you request isolation files for practice
Yep, but it will have to wait until I get back from school
Edit: Eh what the hey. I couldn't resist. Refresh the page to see the new version. If you input something in "scale to" it will ignore the "subtract" field. In its current state it lacks robustness bigtime and will probably break easily if you input anything unexpected. Enjoy! Last edited by scl1604; 11-1-2010 at 11:24 AM.. |

Re: ITT you request isolation files for practice

Re: ITT you request isolation files for practice
Nnnnnnyarrrrrgh.
There's this one 24th bit in Melted Marble that I just cannot hit. No matter what I've tried, I *always* get one or two misses in the 400-450 region. And this is after I blackflagged Yoshi's Cookie and AAAed Twilight Techno (by far my longest AAA with 1107 notes) the night before. Requesting Melted Marble 24th bursts isolation. |

This should be the beatbox string for the streams in Magical 8-bit Tour before the shift: http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=1WYh11qn Paste that into the page and type 69 in the "scale to" box, hit submit and compare the output to your version of the beatbox string for that iso file. I may have misunderstood the feature you wanted if this isn't the behavior you were expecting. Re: ITT you request isolation files for practice
I've had most of this stuff from 2 years ago. I was thinking about making a program that will synchronize my offline ffr with the current online xmlfeed as well as download any missing files into my levels folder. |

Re: ITT you request isolation files for practice
Wow Rubix I love you, lets move to a country that allows gay marriage!!
I'm not gay, t'was a joke. Anyways I actually would like an isolation file on Red Wings over Baron.. Or multiple isolation files, there are around 3 places I just can't do and 2 more I struggle with.. I don't know any fancy speed names or so so I will just play it through and post which note parts it is if that is ok ^^ (like combo 400 to 750 etc)

Re: ITT you request isolation files for practice
Anyone with a childlike sense of wonder could have figured out how to make isolation files; it just takes a bit of tinkering. Alas, Rubix has created a guide, so why not give it a shot?

Re: ITT you request isolation files for practice
Rubix, are you sure this is normal speed? This feels a LOT ****ing slower than the actual file in FFR, like 20 bpm slower, literally. Why the hell does it feel so fast in FFR, it pisses me off

It largely feels faster because of nerves, I think. I can AAA the file up until the gluts with decent consistency but then I get nervous and **** up the glut somewhere.

Re: ITT you request isolation files for practice
I'm not nervous though, that's why I'm really mad right now
I mean there's also the rest of the file to dump goods but in my case it's ridiculous |

Re: ITT you request isolation files for practice
The only places in the rest of the file where I ever dump goods anymore:
1. Righthand trill 2. First jumpglut Then I almost always dump in the final glut and AAA the trill. In the isolation files I can AAA the glut + trill like 70% of the time but in the real deal I get too nervous.
