Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
I'm more then willing to judge for FFR. I even have my notes half-way done and i plan on finishing them later today or tomorrow. (Most likely today though since I'm sick at the moment and have all the time in the world to judge)
PS: No need sending me the link to the batch, one of the judges already have provided me with it a few days ago. EDIT: I'm judging the files NSane was supposed to judge.

For the sake of killing off this batch, just pick those who are available...it's bad enough we've had to wait for judges that were chosen but couldn't be bothered to do their job. -_-; |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Seriously, things around here need to get their shiz together, sad we are still on a batch from last year and at the rate it is going wont see a new batch being judged till next year. Out of all those judges only a couple are up to date and on their game with this, most of them are just SM people who judge because they feel they can but wont since they arent truly in the FFR community or just do it when they feel like it. Pick those who are in for the site and will get this thing going faster then it is atm. I would like to see a new file out everyday because it is possible. Put someone who can seriously be properly in control of this thing and lets get this working better then it is now. FFR needs new songs so we dont have a gigadelic issue/argument again.

Working on One Winged Angel, by The Black Mages. I'm trying my damn hardest to make it fun, but not being able to cut the song is a pain (part of permission guidelines). I'm about 25% of the way, just letting my laptop cool down.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Lol, please look at the way the system is structured now. I'm quite happy that I don't have to judge a large portion of the batch, thanks to it being broken down for several different judges. At the same time, this first new batch is kind of a test to see what works and what doesn't, and who works and who doesn't. At this point, it's pretty clear who works quickly on the batch and who doesn't, so for the next batch we'll only use judges who can provide quick yet accurate results.
Finally, the batch definitely shouldn't be released "as it goes" because there are many problems that arise from the clashing of opinions between different judges; I can see fairness issues (for the simfilers) from using that methodology. The rate of release will definitely change when the batch gets released, and we're getting close to that point... |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Do you even know how difficult to keep judging a batch in 3-4 days (when FFR judgement isn't the only thing to do in their life for most judges)?
Also, I don't see merit over demerit in adding songs everyday. |

lol I was gonna volunteer to do the last ones cuz I already have about half of them judged already from way back in the day, but it looks like I'm not needed

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
If we were to assume that the active judges would remain for the next batch, that means we still would need two more for the next one.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Hey plan this batch probably has one of the fastest turnarounds from any batch so far. Batches usually take 2ish months to judge usually and considering the size of this batch I'm surprised we are going through it as fast as we are

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
@ Carlos:
It helps when there's only 26 files per group. Keep splitting them up like that and I'll be finishing the day I download it, no later than the next day. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
It's likely that we have to change submission e-mail address and wait for enough amount of submissions again.
dore: if you can judge the next batch, you can be in. |
