Re: TWG XC: Deja Vu
this is funny because most of the players that are being considered are either new or generally inactive. Guess I'm going to have to get to know you all.

Re: TWG XC: Deja Vu
After the deadline, bro.
Thanks to the others who got their vote in before it was too late. Was off with the family myself. Figured I'd be around to force an insta at the last minute, but I couldn't manage it. But you guys did it. Good work. Not that we should even have to be thinking about that ****. Everyone, please see my recent post in the rules sticky. ps I think it's hilarious that someone made the connection back to BDN from last game, because that is EXACTLY what I was thinking, but didn't want to say anything because it could implicate him. So congrats, guys, I bet you just lynched our seer!

As end of day nears, it is often quite clear who will end up dead. If there is only 10 minutes to deadline and the vote leader is ahead by many votes and has been ahead consistently for a long time, he will die. For sure. Votes after this event horizon are COMPLETELY irrelevant. No matter what is done, the man will die. Even if some huge information comes to light right at the end (like, say, if gun popped up and said "**** don't kill me, I'm the seer!"), there wouldn't be enough people online to change the results in this sort of case. But some people still might not have voted, particularly dumbass greens. So if we can get people to force an insta and abuse the intended purpose of an insta mere minutes (or SECONDS) before deadline, we can save them from receiving phantoms. I am pretty sure that gun was human myself, but if I had been around, I would have voted for him. Why? Because it was clear that nothing I could do could stop him from dying, but by pushing him to death, I could help the children among us who failed to vote during the day. But speaking of phantoms and instas, maybe this game mechanic should be tweaked. It's kind of bogus for us to abuse it like this to be honest. The point of it is so that if a person is waiting until late in the day to vote and an insta happens early in the day, they won't be penalized, but we pull instas right at the deadline to abuse this. It's not as though people are waiting until the final SECOND to vote to save themselves from phantoms. ps again, read my recent post in the rules thread. I think we should do away with phantoms and substitutions. If you want to sign up for a game and not play it, your team should suffer for it, and if you make a habit of it, you shouldn't be allowed to play anymore. You ****s are too soft on inactivity and allowing people to repeatedly sign up when they don't truly intend to play. I've even heard of ****s ABUSING the substitution system to appear human when they're a wolf. What the ****.

Re: TWG XC: Deja Vu
Lol gun could have been human, but he was most definitely NOT the seer.

Re: TWG XC: Deja Vu
Care to explain your reasoning there? Otherwise, that's tantamount to a seer claim. Which would be really ****ing stupid in a game without a guard.

Re: TWG XC: Deja Vu
Freeze may just think it would be dumb for Gun to have thrown himself in the lime life in such a fashion, seeing as he (Freeze, not Gun) is new. He could also find it to be ridiculous if he was green since that would nix the whole seering him red idea, so I don't think it was a acidental seer claim, I think hes just new. I'm on AIM again (Finally), so yeah, free to discuss stuff, although I may respond slowly at first, due to playing a game.

A) He basically threw himself out in the open with a random vote. If he was a seer why would he do that? The only way i could see that happening was if he was extremely confident that he could make things flow his way and was 100% sure i was a wolf via seering. I observed, however, that his stance was anything but solid, and he started to break up and showed symptoms of withdrawal after only 2-3 votes his way. The last few posts before his lynching were also extremely thoughtless and gave of the vibe of someone who doesnt care if they live or die. Typical seer behavior? B) He went after me cause I "rubbed him the wrong way." Not a problem, however if he was a seer and bothered to seer me he would have noticed im green. That completely shuts out the possiblity of him being a seer, to me anyways. What kind of seer seers someone, then goes after someone else that they have no information on? C) Even as he was being voted, he didnt even mention the remote possiblity of himself being a seer. Not sure about the policy of when seers should reveal themselves, but i know if someone was voting me and i was the seer, i would at least pm the voters that info. A dead seer is useful to nobody, and staying alive should be on the top of a seers priority list. So, in conclusion, Gun. Human? probably. Wolf? Its a possiblilty. Seer? No.

Re: TWG XC: Deja Vu
So I made a mistake in my vote count. An insta was not reached. Gun92 still dies, but u84 and BDN have received phantoms.
Here's the vote count: freez - gun, afro gun - (7) emerald, syhto, mak, vic, a2p, freez, tupac redh - ruritsu panda - sc mak - panda afro - fic Sorry guys. I'll make sure everythings right from now on. Last edited by clarinet89; 11-1-2009 at 01:30 AM.. |

in other words, you don't know if gun was the seer or not. What you would have done had you been the seer in that position wouldn't have worked anyway. It's a stupid plan. We forgive you. No we don't. The "A dead seer is no use to anyone" excuse does NOT work. Ever. Gun was going to die regardless of an insta and regardless of what he did to counter it. |

Re: TWG XC: Deja Vu
I mean, AWESOME! YOU GET TO LIVE FOR A WHOLE NIGHT PHASE.
It makes all the difference in the world right? It's not like you'd be killed the following night if your attempts to save yourself aren't anything but obvious (and they wouldn't be!). ****, you wouldn't even be able to tell anyone your seer results! Not that you would anyway to begin with. sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssshhhhhhhhhhhhh |
