Mystery games are a big part of the reason everyone sucks at TWG right now.

Re: TWG XC Host Signups
I'm running this setup on another site right now and I think I'd be great for this game. It's nice, simple, nonstandard, and doesn't have any ironclad alliance BS. Think of it as a compromise of my signature experimentation with the best interests of the players here. I'd like for someone else to host this one, since I didn't get the chance to play much in the last game.
Night Watch 12 players 3 Werewolves - Every night they will make a kill like normal. However, they must specify one person to make the kill, so the PM reads "Werewolf X kills Person Y." 1 Ability Seer - Chooses one personper night to investigate. Will be informed of any abilities the target has. However, he is unable to detect the secret activities of the werewolves, and they will appear no different than normal humans. 2 Watchers -They each choose one person per night to watch. If anyone targets their ward with a night action, they will be notified who targeted them. 1 Hider - Chooses one person to hide behind every night. If he picks a human/pro-town player, he will not be killed if the wolves target him. However, if the wolves target the person he hides behind, he will be killed along with them. He also dies if he hides behind a wolf. 5 Humans - Will these delectable morsels be dinner for werewolves again, or will they fight back?

bdn
it's not that I'm against seer/psychic games, it's just that it's very unlikely everyone will be active... as seen in this past game we played. mystery games at least give most people a role other than a plain human, and even the plain humans aren't that bad off since they still get to help figure out wtf is going on |

Re: TWG XC Host Signups
This is everything that's wrong with TWG players right now. Greens can ALWAYS help figure out wtf is going on. Talk to people. Figure out if they're playing differently. Do not ****ing rely on magic powers to tell you if someone is a wolf or not, figure it out for yourself.

Re: TWG XC Host Signups
TWG LXXXVI: Lone wolf...
13 Players The Lone Wolf - If he is lynched the humans win. The Pack's Defender - The lone wolf cannot be lynched until he is killed. Sly Wolf - May switch roles with the lone wolf durring the night. Seer/Vigi - Can act as a seer, or vigi somebody durring the night, however, the vigi will cost their power. Send either a "Seer Player X" or "Vigi Player X" to prevent confusion. Dead Eye - If this player is the first person to vote for somebody during a lynching phase and that person is lynched, their lynching will not be stopped by other effects. 7 Humans 1 Unlucky Human - If this person is the last to vote on a person that would be lynched, the lynch fails. Is unaware of this detriment. Gonna pitch this again although, I don't want to host AND I'd much rather play Clari's game anyway seeing as I found its very fun.

Re: TWG XC Host Signups
Please choose Clarinet, guys. If TWC has any power, please veto all votes aside from Clarinet's game. We need to get this active TWG population back up to par and unless we play more original ****, no one will learn how to play the game we'll have ****tier and ****tier games. Please vote Clarinet, for your own sake people.
That counts as 3 votes because it is for Clarinet's game. Now it's 4 votes. |

Re: TWG XC Host Signups
there are 4 votes on a normal PSYCHIC/SEER/MASTERWOLF game to be hosted by either clarinet or syhto.
Gun, Makilaz, FictionJunction, u84 Mystery games are far out of this group's league since it has proven that it can't even analyze players properly in a game where the roles are public, much less analyze a game they know nothing about. psychic/seer/MW game (hosted by syhto or clarinet) - 4 - FictionJunction, Makilaz, Gun, u84 BDN's game - 3 - tupac, Spyke, temote mystery game - 0 - tupac Last edited by FictionJunction; 10-25-2009 at 08:00 PM.. |
