Default Mushihimesama Futari

This game, had vids floating around on youtube with the label of having the "hardest boss battle ever" (vid is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ji88FmxemAs ), was confirmed to be a region free title, so people overseas can play it!
To anyone who loves shmups, buy it, lol.
To those who have an xbox 360, and has about $70 to blow (that's the cost because of shipping and customs), get it, just to try the genre.

The trailer for it is here : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r7ArkuD207M
The game also includes Arrange mode on top of Original, Manic, and Ultra. Arrange is basically a high score mode featuring bullet reflection.

And if you can get a Japanese XBLA account (which I heard you can on any region xbox), version 1.01 and Black Label are going to be DLC. I am seriously considering doing that just for Black Label.

Oh, and did I mention new HD graphics?

Release date 11/26/09

I wouldn't recommend this game just to try the genre.

If you want to play bullet hells, either get Ikaruga or download Touhou.

Also this game freaking rules.

hehehehe, bad game choice for someone who is just starting schmups, but I agree with stargroup there. DAMN good game.

Tho the title of world's hardest boss could be argued. I still think Hibatchi 3rd Form is just pure insanity from DonPatchi and would the the hardest schumps boss. Opinions, tho. xD That game is FAST. @.@

You should also try Psyvariar 2 if you love HARD schmups. And the eXceed series if you play on computer.

Well, this one has a Novice mode as well, for beginners.
Plus, Ikaruga is extremely overrated and quite easy if you are just oging for a clear instead of score. The bullet canceling in Mushi actually makes it one of the easier cave games to 1CC. I have 1CCd the first Mushi on Maniac mode, took me about 15-20 tries, and I suck at bullet hells. Barely can 1CC the Touhou games on normal (can't on TH11).

I was expecting to get horribly raped by this game but it isn't terribly hard. Not quite as pretty as Touhou, but for some reason I had more fun with this.

So yeah. consider it recommended, though you should buy BlazBlue first just because I have no one to play with.

EDIT: oh yeah I didn't play it on hardest difficulty. I imagine it's pretty unfair.

I have BlazBlue :P, also, I think people are confusing Mushihimesama-Futari for Mushihimesama, because unless you have an arcade near you with it (which is doubtful, because I think only 2 arcades in the US actually have it), you are not gonna be able to play it.

Uh, Mushihimesama Futari came out in 2006, cannot be emulated yet.
And yes, people are confusing the second one for the first, because the first Mushihimesama had a PS2 port, which can be emulated.

Yeah I thought it was pretty much assumed we were all talking about the first one since the second one is very nearly Japan exclusive right now.

The whole point of this thread was to declare that the second one is a region free title, so anyone with an xbox 360 can play it.
I thought my first post made it clear that it wasn't the first, because I posted a vid and the trailer, game looks completely different than the first, scoring system and all.
