I agree. I mean, sure, the maps are all pretty and **** usually, but theyre not that complex. the design for at least a 1/3 of them are symmetrical, and the ones that arent, not a lot of thought goes into the complexity of it and how it will be when it is integrated into actual gameplay.

IMO, no matter how pretty a map looks, it should never take about a year to finally release 3 maps. Seriously, it should probably take about 2 months TOPS. Not many people care about the pretty stuff anyway, its all about being able to see the map and have good obstacles to make gameplay more enjoyable and less predictable.

all in all, they really need a new engine and better maps...and better moderators...and better ranking system...and better campaign...and maybe a better game all together.

You're an idiot, it's more than just 3 maps you dumb ****. It's got an entire makeover for the campaign, and then there's also the bonus of firefight, which looks really sick if you enjoy any Halo at all. If it was "just 3 maps" they would have put it over xbox marketplace and let you buy it from there. If you have no idea at all what you're posting about a game, why the hell say anything?
            EDIT:PS

...He was talking about the map pack. Gratz on looking like a tool ;D.

Also TBH...it's the same god damn game engine, and the team is GIGANTIC. They could inhabit their own small island nation. I don't know what they do half the time but they honestly spend WAY to much time and money to do what's pretty much making maps and changing the variables of a game. Gratz Bungie on making one great game, then doing nothing with it for 6 years, real original ;D.

I've had fun with firefight so far, haven't had a chance to hop through camp yet, might run through it tomorrow.

This is the post he quoted, the way I read it, you think all they did was make a bunch of new maps, when they completely redid campaign. -_-

                    Re: Halo 3 ODST

So I just finished the game and it took me about 5-6 hours give or take. I wont write an essay but just a quick thing about it.

As an FPS fan, I enjoyed this game. Its still fun whether you listen to the people on this thread or not, but it is 64$ according to my receipt (Im rich).

The campaign however I enjoyed more than the previous versions. The preveious versions you kinda expected what might happen while in ODST. This assumption though, probably isn't strong considering the story, hero and etc remained the same, but just prolonged into 3 episodes (I miss johnson). Nothing is certain in ODST. Then again its a completly new story, but a very interesting story at that. You go as a rookie and you prowl around town to different checkpoints. The game is basically a flash back to the day before where the battle actually happened from beginning to the time you meet up at the Hive. The flashbacks were an awsome new component to Halo3 and I think they did a great job about that. As usual, you're hero dont talk, but thats about the only expected thing in the campaign, although you would hope that the new hero would talk.

Firefight was fun. I managed to survive all 3 rounds on normal. This is the only version of halo that you can actually play against the AI and I thought that was awsome. Wish they did that with the previous versions.

Concerning about the dissappointments that everyone has in this game and I can tell by this thread, nothing much has really been added and nothing complex either. To be honest, the campaign ended so abrutly that I was like, "****, thats it?" What happened to Vennessa and Buck? What did the Covenant find? Why isn't there more missions to stop or destroy what the Covenant found? I mean wtf? Thats probably the only major flaw in the campaign that I thought was obveious. But thats like all Halo games. I guess the rest of the stories are in the books. I have not tried multiplayer and I will soon, but it should of been expected that it would be the same. Why anyone would doubt this is beyond my comprehension.

Games not bad for an FPS, although if you aren't an FPS fan, then I dont know if the choice is that obveious. If you were to ask me whats better though, Id say ODST, but thats just me.

                    I might add more

We had a giant release tournament at my gamestop with 100+ players. I actually won, lol. So I'm going to Manhattan to play for 5,000$. Just another paycheck for me.
