Re: One more Billy Mays commercial
The show did kind of make him seem like a jerk. I was actually surprised they showed so much of it right after he died.

Re: One more Billy Mays commercial
He was being ignorant because he was being shown a different way of advertising a product. He obviously didn't like that.

Billy Mays was a dick on the show. Just watch the shark episode.
Also, he was kind of just annoying on his infomercials. Impressionable, but annoying.

Re: One more Billy Mays commercial
First of all, why do so many people spell OxiClean wrong? It's a household name now, folks. Oxidizing Cleaner. OxiClean.
Second of all, Billy was a pitchman first and an actor second. All actors are temperamental like that. If you honestly think actors don't get frustrated when they have to do multiple takes or do a scene in a way they don't like, then you have no idea how Hollywood works. That's not a reason to hate him. He took people's dreams and made them into reality. Can you do that? Didn't think so. After watching his show, I have a much more profound respect for he and Anthony Sullivan. I always thought TV ads were scams, because the vast majority of them were. But then when you see these people who are behind all of these products and how they respect Billy for what he does to get them to mass market, you understand that there is a lot more to infomercials than you previously thought. That's what the show was about. It was about educating the public that infomercials weren't all scams. Though, they did use some underhanded tricks in some of their ads to make them look better than they really were. |

How else are you going to test to see if it works?
He told him he was going to do it. |

That's still a bit f*cked up, no matter how you look at it.
Not a Billy Mays hater, just saying. |
