They provide contrast between bordering notes (e.g. {frozen}'s finale is a lot less mind-numbing to read than silence, which has similar patterns but no colours)

and allow for quick recognization of familiar rhythmic patterns; all red notes are on the beat, all blue notes between two reds, all yellow notes between a red and blue, etc. If you see purples and pinks coming up you know the song's using either triplets or swing, if your 16ths turn into 32nds you know you need to hit twice as fast, etc

Try contacting the music producer through emails. You'll have to tell the artist what song you want to use for FFR, and wait for a reply back. If the artist lets you use the song, you're all good :P the problem is stepping it for FFR

In which case, you can use this link to guide you in creating your own simfile, and the stickies on this forum to assist you in deciding what song to choose, and if it is already available to you or not.

i have a question in the settings menu what does the option "dark" do?

Dark:
Off: The default option. Does not activate any of the dark modifications.
On: By selecting this option, the stationary arrows will have an appearance like this:



This is used to lower the chances for you to hit a "Perfect" arrow. It is not done physically during gameplay, but more to the side of a user not being able to recognise the exact position of the stationary arrows.

uhh??? how do you upload a simfile onto FFR simfile DB coz everytime i do it says we don't allow these types of files and i made sure of no mines no tempo changes no stops... help me!!!

It doesn't matter whether you have mines or freezes when submitting your simfile into the FFR simfile database. This only matters if you are submitting it to the FFR judges to consider your work and see if it is worth installing into the FFR engine, where it can be accessed in FFR the game. Tempo changes, or BPM changes are of no problem when submitting a file into the game itself or on the simfile database, as long as it does not stop.

However, if you would like to make use of the FFR Resonance Beta, your file must not contain these BPM changes, where as you are allowed when submitting it into FFR.

Your submission path should look something similar to this:



This is my file I submitted onto the FFR simfile database. Make sure that your audio file is in a .MP3 or .OGG format.

I noticed that another song was released for the Secret genre. For the FGO song "He's A Radical Rat," how much credits do you need?

Boost: [Currently unavailable]

The boost option modifies the rate at which your chosen in-game scroll accelerates. Currently an unavailable modifer in FFR, you can play with this feature in Stepmania. The boost mode modifies the scroll rate to create a 'boost-like' impression.

What is the maximum number of credits you can save on one account?

The maximum number of credits you can save on one account is 8,388,607 credits.

8,388,607 = (2^23) - 1

The number is associated with the database cell storage - 3kb, which totals 24 characters.

If you can, try to ignore them as best as possible. You can delete their messages by clicking the small [x] labelled beside their comment. If you require assistance to assess the situation, report it to a moderator or an administrator. Alert moderators before you alert the administrators.

Once you become a subscriber you can mask the accuracy rating and/or the combo you get while playing. If you aren't a subscriber you just have to deal with it.
