Re: Numi's First Tournament
Well, this will be fun.
Since our strategy now utterly FAILS for the most part, I have no problem posting my SS's on the thread. Time for some good 'ol fashioned luck to win (for me at leastr) Hoping to improve... if you can call it that

Re: Numi's First Tournament
Heh, thanks. Funny thing is that I quad-mashed 8 extra boos before the notes came... I could've potentially gotten -20 for a score
But I was, in a way, relying on some luck too. That was the closest I got before getting annoyed by refreshing because of random misses.

Re: Numi's First Tournament
edit: Too bad you didn't get that, man... now you gotta play it again XD
Hopefully this can clinch 2nd place if I can't do better... btw, the reason for the drastically better score is me switching from spread (before) to index. I'm trying to play as much spread as possible to get better... but this tournament must be won, by any means necessary... I'm basically just hammering out a FC for 420-430 notes and hoping for the best.

Re: Numi's First Tournament
Autofail huh? Wish I was that good... too bad about the 2 extra boos, silver.
Numi's gonna have a fit once he sees this thread again XD

Re: Numi's First Tournament
Even though I use autofail, my PA is still all over the place. I'm just hoping to get a 15-1-0-14 score, but it requires a bit of luck for me since I usually get anywhere between 10 and 25 goods and I'm never sure about my boo count. It feels like ViennaCore all over again.

Re: Numi's First Tournament
I'm about 4000 away at the moment. Virtually no chance of me getting as close as you two, so I'm taking 3rd.

Re: Numi's First Tournament
Lol this is great. You guys seem to be having quite a bit of fun here.
But I said don't put SUBMISSIONS in this thread. You can post screenshots all you want, I just won't count them. Fractal-With a bit of practice, I'm sure you could come up with something good.Just autofail different intervals, when you get close, just try to replicate your previous score and go from there. Also, this goes to everyone who was in the tourney. There will be one extra round with a different scoring system. This tourney turned out well after all, and next time I'll hire someone (by giving them credits) to help back me up and update the scores when I miss a night. Sadly, there won't be any prizes, unless I can come up with some fast credits, (unlikely). The new scoring system is how I'd plan on running the next tourney. It would basically go like this: Lets say I had 644-12-2-1-490. Lets say you had 634-2-12-11-500 Your score would be 50 (because you were off by 10 perfects, 10 goods, 10 avg, 10 boo, and 10 miss) The higher your score, the worse off you are. Would any of you be interested in trying out one extra round like this after this round ends? I'd like feedback so I know whether to run my next tourney the way I am now or with the new system. *EDIT-Yes. I realize me, Chrysalis, Fractal, ic0slay3r, and Silver are the only ones who check this forum anymore. So it's likely only the four of you will end up in the next round. I'm WAY too lazy to PM everyone who was in this from the start. Though I may, out of sheer boredom. Last edited by NumiGamer; 03-21-2009 at 02:09 PM.. |

Re: Numi's First Tournament
@ Numi: You know my views on how the tourney should be run; an extra round hardly seems necessary, though. The new system should work better as it is actually challenging.
@ master q60: Perhaps the score wasn't good enough? My score was 275 off, not sure as to what your score was. @ silvercomet: I got Viennacore 2nd try :P ... at least your PA is more consistent and waaaay better than my PA right now. I can 'feel' the song better, though, and hopefully my Good count will be dropping

Re: Numi's First Tournament
If you remember, recently the tournament had its first elimination of someone who actually submitted. Three were eliminated, actually. Yours wasn't good enough to stay in.

Glad to see someone would be interested. Keep trying. You'll get better. Just remember you have to PM me a score for me to count it. Just pointing it out because you haven't officially submitted yet. |

Re: Numi's First Tournament
Um.
Okay, on second thought, I'm fine with 2nd. I probably won't have the time to try to improve my score anyways. Congrats. |

Re: Numi's First Tournament
I thank you my good sir.
For future reference, if you or Fractal (happen to) find the time to improve your scores, I would be willing to split the prize to 27,500 each. If this is agreeable to you, get a SS of 632150.

Re: Numi's First Tournament
Good job Chrysalis. I'm proud of you. I was really surprised you got the exact score.
As for competition, Fractal said he gave up, so now that you gave silver the exact score and how to get it, with just over 24 hours left in the tourney, IT'S ON!!! Last edited by NumiGamer; 03-23-2009 at 09:52 PM.. |

Re: Numi's First Tournament
Well, I guess I won then...
Good job to fractal and silvercomet... they both got perfect scores every Round as well (except this one). Is this extra Round gonna happen then?
