Special stepfiles
I don't know if this should be in the stepfiles thread, it's just a suggestion, but I'll create it anyway.
I think there should be more unique stepfiles like M.A.M.A., which uses only 3 buttons the whole song. Something like a song with just 1 button full of jacks that requires a good rhythmic sense to PA, or songs with different and strange patterns. I know that the possibilities are a bit limited for 4 arrows, but I think it would be interesting to have these in the game.

Re: Special stepfiles
i kinda agree lol, 4 arrows is getting old.
maybe a song full of jumps replacing single notes and quads/hands replacing jumps. no single notes lol. sure itd be hard, but i mean, pretty much every stepfile these days is the same. but anyway, you'd have to contact stepartists about this sort of thing.

Re: Special stepfiles
if a song was made that was just a long jack then yes
and a song with all jumps and hands would be cool |

i definitely vote for getting jackhammer madness in the game, and more interesting/different patterns in general. |

Re: Special stepfiles
there's only so much you can do with 3 arrows tbh
combinatronically less than what you can do with 4, it's so constrained we don't need another MAMA btw we already have an all jumps song. it is called turkish march and really gay

Re: Special stepfiles
If you want to do something different you can always double or quadruple the bpm of a file, push it 3/96th of a beat forward and step one instrument with green notes, the other one with cyan.

Re: Special stepfiles
if another 3-arrow file is added now it's not unique at all anymore.
also, this concept only works for joke files (you can still use this in a part of the file like {Rose}). |

Re: Special stepfiles
That's what I said in the beggining.
Maybe we can do that in a song that's basically drums.

Re: Special stepfiles
There's still plenty of stuff people can do, you just have to be creative. My next file if I ever get the balls to start/finish is going to have some fun experimentation.

Re: Special stepfiles
creative like made-up rhythms or creative like focusing on an unusual pattern type?
