Sorry for the month bump, but I saw no reason to make a new thread over this.

Valve is releasing updates sometime this spring (Valve time; means fall), of the L4D source SDK, Dead Air and Death Toll multiplayer maps, and a new multiplayer mode named "Survival."

Personally, I'm looking forward to the source coming out..I've seen some nice fan-made maps.

What do you guys think?

I've had my fun with L4D. Getting the 53k kills and beating all the campaigns on expert did it for me. I think I OD'd.

But if L4D was still fresh for me, I would definitely be up for the new updates. I don't have the game anymore because I sold it for money towards F.E.A.R. 2.

i think it will be awesome but does anyone know exactly when its coming out? or is it out and i now look like a nub? whats survival mode about? now im excited

When it's coming out? It's not out yet, but Here's a little chart you can judge Valve Time by. Lol, who knows?

I haven't heard anything about Survival mode.

LOL endless hours of entertainment. Only cause well...I rented it, and I don't have xbox live. But the single career was funner then all hell, getting the achievements was really fun, especially the "Cr0wned" One with killing the witch with a single headshot. I still can't get a few of them though. My first achievement I got was the one you kill the witch without anyone taking damage which was like wow to me, cause she's one crazy bitch xD It's fun to be flinged around by the Tank xD

Survival mode is going to be where all 4 Survivors start off in different areas of the map, have to meet up somewhere in the map, and then make it back to the safe room.

And supposedly Louis went to "special" school...
Come ON, it's fire, it's not a play toy! No.. no... don't... don't pet the tank! It doesn't like that! No, come on dear, it's... yes, I know it's a survival movie game, but that doesn't mean you have to be the only person to die.

They never really officially announced how the mode was going to be, but I've read on a couple places all saying the same thing.

I remember once on No Mercy stage 3, right after the lift scene in the building with the gigantic window, I sucked a survivor out as a smoker and strangled them off a ledge while their teammates were helpless to save them due to a horde attack.

It was golden, we won.

Oh, forgot to say, excited for the DLC and I absolutely love the game.

If anyone wants a seasoned L4D veteran to play with and not some nuubs, add me seriously. Phynx is my game name, Kraeden is my valve account name.

Also, I'm dying for survival... I always rush way ahead of everyone in expert to kill everything first... if I could start the game alone with like 5 hordes instantly after me at once, I'd have a ****in' blast

All games will get boring after a while. The thing with L4D is that it's meant to be played for maybe a campaign and a VS match and then you can put it down. Then you can easily pick it up another game and be fine with it.

This game is pretty awesome
Way more zombies come at you than Resident evil.
All I gotta say is that it has better enemies, bosses, weapons, etc.

lol so going by that chart.. its never coming out :'( what ive heard about survival mode sounds cool.. what would be awesome is survival vs mode

everyone starts some where on the map. and so does the infected.. then they have to group up just like us and then attack us

or if theyre lucky catch 1 of us by our selves.

I really feel like playing L4D for some reason even though I've kind of gotten addicted to Halo 3 again. I really want to finish at least one or two campaigns on expert this weekend or something. Probably will have my boyfriend play with me and MAYBE his best friend and MAYBE one of my brothers, but if not then anyone here is welcome to play with us.
