Hi there, I've been pushing arrows for a year now and I'm sure I'm not considered good at it. I write stepfiles and I'd like to know how to release some here (yeah, it's not enough that my personal friends play them). I'm really friendly and not confrontational at all, but if you write a bad stepfile I'll be the first to tell you.

Also, my apologies to the admins if they get the email I shot them; I waited most of a full day and didn't get any verification emails, so I sent them a message asking if they could verify my account. After much time spent forwarding ports and whatnot (and changing the email about seven times), here I am.

I'm led to believe that half of it was the fault of my router settings, and the other half was perhaps the issue that's been going on regarding certain domains denying the emails. Anyway thanks, it's good to be here.

1. zip up folder containing stepfile in question
2. go to http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/sims/upload.php
3. fill in fields and click upload
4. when it's done go back to http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/sims/ and you'll see it there

Ah, okay, that's one way to do it. Now if I could learn about how the queue works... I'm not quite sure if it's open or not (which I'm sure is a completely newbie thing not to be able to tell). Thanks for that, though, I hadn't given that area much attention. I'm assuming that unlike the queue, all files are acceptable to be submitted there assuming the steps are your own.

That's how you upload to resonance, not to the queue. the queue is a bit more complicated:

first the song's artist has to have given permission. a list of blanket permissions is here
secondly the file has to have one chart with NO freezes, mines or rolls. (192nds are okay, hands are okay if it's FMO or FGO) the folder has to be named like so: Songname (Simfile Artist Name)
zip it up and e-mail it to TASSELFOOT@GMAIL.COM . sometime over the next month jimerax and bluguerilla will judge it, and they both have to at least like it or one of them strongly like it for tasselfoot to check it out and queue it if he likes it too

the next batch closes on friday night, so if you are interested in submitting something you can give yourself a few days still. don't send in files that have been released publically, but sending them in private to other simfile artists for them to give feedback is a-ok

the queue is open for anyone to submit but most files will be rejected because of how bad they are (if yours don't more power to you)

and you can submit any song to resonance yes

Thanks a lot for all the information. Just what I was looking for. We'll see if I can get Rebirth to okay me for stepping some of dBu's stuff. If he doesn't respond soon, then I'll just save it for later. I read through a few of those threads initially, but I get it more now.

I'm inclined to say my files don't suck, but I'll wait until I get one into the game so you can say so yourself.

I forget which touhou artist(s) we have permission from they all look the same

Yea we have dBu permission, since there are dBu songs in-game :P
