Default index player needing spread possibly?

since I started FFR maybe 3 years ago I've always played index, I never knew any other way. It's almost impossible for me to FC any "Jumpstream" songs. I've played spread for days but just cant seem to get used to it at all. Is there any hope for me index style to pass these ridiculous jumpstream songs?

I mean I can FC really fast songs without any to little jumpstreams, vertex beta being an example. its songs like little god channel, STRAWBERRY SWEETZ, Hardkore Atomic.. etc etc that give me the most problems. the problem isn't my mind keeping up its my fingers getting crossed while trying to jump or press multiple arrows during a stream.

i used to be 100% index. then i hit blocks in my path, i was weak and made a new account for my spread. and im back using spread. there are some legendary index players out there. don't get discouraged. keep going practice on Southern Cross.

I haven't played that song until you just mentioned it. That song makes me want to kill myself and is a perfect example of what I can't do T_T

I mean I don't think it's physically possible for me to even get remotely close to FCing southern cross without button mashing everything during the jumpstreams

You can try learning how to hit jumps with one finger and see if that helps.

don;t think about the notes when they come up just move your fingers you can get at least a 500 combo. i did when i was index. kairon is the best indexer ever he shows that people that play index have almost on limits.

it takes a while but it can be done, i used to be a full indexer like you, but with practice you will get better with spread . it took me a couple hundred games but i got the hang of it and im sure you can too.

I suggest playing one handed and spread while still playing index a lot to. Personally I play Index and Jump Streams almost always kill me. I can't concentrate well enough for spread but I've played it a bit. Best songs to learn Jump Streams I would say are Seven and Blooddrunk [Heavy]. Hitting quads and hands are a pain but if you can switch from Index to spread back to index on command it would be a great skill no?

most people do that anyway especially when u play spread and need to hit trills like left down. they switch for spread to index. for index and jump stream play strange program located in secret for like 10k or something

You can change grip during jumpstreams, quads, hands, or occasionally trills if there is something else going on while you trill. You can also switch for some songs that have a offbeat rhythm on two rhythms and crazy mashing on the other two. Oh, and kmay, i had unlocked strangeprogram when i had like 6k creds.

Just keep practicing spread, I played index for about 4-5 years before my friend Kepo told me about spread. I still play index on flight of the bumblebee, strangeprogram, and vertex beta, but that's it.

Passing ridiculous js songs is easy. It's PA/Comboing them that's hard.
