![]() FFR beats the living hell out of guitar hero. They're different in so many ways they're almost uncomparable, but the gameplay in FFR is just so much more fun. FFR FTW!

Every game has some sort of competition. That does not necessarily make a game better though? Either way, it's hard to compare games that are really nothing a like. I like to play FFR more than Guitar Hero though. :/

In point of fact, GH has far more depth, technique, and strategy to its gameplay than FFR ever could, especially if you're playing at a high level. The existence of avmisses actually gave FFR some depth of its own--but with those gone, it's ridiculously simple: one finger on each key, push the button at the right time. There is absolutely zero more complexity than that to the game. Different playstyles can add a tad more variety, but not only do those fail to be a great deal more interesting, they're also typically quite inferior to spread. Whereas in GH, you have three hand positions, stretching, use of pull-offs, strum vs hopo decisions, downstrum vs altstrum, tapping/elbow strumming, and that's without even getting into the star power part--early whammying, squeezing, tricky activations, and paths. ALL of these are little elements of the game that give it a real degree of strategy to it. Also, the networking and competitive aspect of GH can be found on good old scorehero.com, which has most of the same ranks/stats/etc you'll find on FFR. Basically, at face value, GH is little more than a glorified FFR on a guitar shaped controller, but in reality it's a way, way, way deeper and more interesting game. As someone who has significant skill at both, I definitely think that GH is better.

![]() Guitar Hero is way better than FFR. GH makes you feel like a rockstar and ffr kinda makes you feel like a nerd. And with guitar hero you can rock out with your friends, but on ffr you have to take turns. Its also way more challenging than FFR is. It took me a month to be able to play on expert on Guitar Hero and only like a week to be able to play on very challenging on FFR. The music sucks on FFR! They dont have any good techno songs and the rock is mostly emo. Not only that but it really takes no skill to play FFR, i sometimes mash buttons and i still keep my streak, but you have to be very accurate on Guitar Hero. But besides that, i do like FFR, but Guitar Hero will always be more amazing and superior.

![]() I would elaborate, but Shash basically said what I was gonna say.
Plus GH3 has Metallica DLC now, so it's no comparison.

![]() FFR is free rather than paying for GH. Plus FFR takes more skill to be able to read the notes on faster/harder songs. As well as needing more stamina to keep up un the harder songs. GH is fun to play, but dies down fast in my opinion.

![]() FFR. GH requires less skill and is easier to beat the harder songs. Rock Band is better than GH.
FFR owns all except rock Band
