Re: jTWG XLVII: A Night Under The Iraqi Sky
So, apparently I was an Iraqi soldier. I mean, I would never betray my country. And apparently I had been seen through the night-vision goggles as a traitor. I was angry, but I wasn't stupid enough to show the emotion. I had the others gathering around me crying out "ex-e-cu-tion! ex-e-cu-tion!" and a tear slid silently down my cheek. I knew my time was up... But that doesn't mean I want it to. As two men stood me up I did not fight back. My hands were unnecessarily cuffed behind me. I stepped out blindly into a small square. The firing squad was around me, guns raised. It's not like I could resist... so, I didn't. I tilted my head up to face the sky... The last thing I heard was a deep voice yell "FIRE!"
Argo15 is dead. It is now night 2. This phase will end tomorrow, Monday, at 10:00 PM EST. |

Re: jTWG XLVII: A Night Under The Iraqi Sky
A phantom is when someone doesn't put a vote in for the lynch. It is basically a way to monitor inactivity. It counts as a portion of a vote towards the person who gets the phantom.
That is a basic definition, I'm sure someone else will give a better one later. As everyone else is way more technical. |

Re: jTWG XLVII: A Night Under The Iraqi Sky
Ok, ready?
A phantom is a penalty on a player for not casting a day-time vote. One does not recieve a phantom if insta is lynched (more than half the votes on one individual). The first phantom counts as .001 of an average vote. That is to say, if you have one vote on you and one phantom, your vote tally is 1.001. The second phantom counts as a complete vote and .001 against you. So, if you have two phantoms and a vote your vote tally is 2.001. If you recieve three phantoms you are most likely ejected from the game, and will recieve an average of two game bans. I love explaining phantoms. I'm going to end the night now, by the way. Update coming in a second. |

Re: jTWG XLVII: A Night Under The Iraqi Sky
A Scene From The Battlefield:
Dr.Kirth was twitching uncontrollably. Foaming at the mouth, spitting blood, shaking, the medic was running around trying to find people who needed to be helped. The bullets were raining from the sky... As were water droplets. The desert sand was becoming plush and mushy. A man dove behind a sand-bag as gun fire peppered his old hiding spot. The medic sprang into action, bolting over to DrKirth he pulled out his kit and set to work. Weaving stitches quickly and expertly through Kirth's chest. Splinting his legs and left arm. Using an Ace bandage to wrap his fingers. Gauze to cut back on the bleeding. Triple-Antibiotic sticky applied to each section that was even the slightest shade of red. Kirth went from being a mass of flesh and bone to a near-mummy resemblance. He was speedily carried away on a hand-stretcher. Manti... Wasn't as lucky. As his muscular body was ripped to shreds by the rapid fire of an M-16 his commerades buckled to their knees. What... is this madness? This war. This evil. At this expense? Is it worth it? We wouldn't think so as Manti was blown into bits of unidentifiable flesh. The largest piece found was his thumb. DrKirth has been revived. DarkManticoreX2 has been killed. I did not recieve a wolf PM, therefore, they forfeited their kill. Last edited by rzr; 06-16-2008 at 09:53 PM.. |

Re: jTWG XLVII: A Night Under The Iraqi Sky
Ah, rzr, you shouldn't tell people when you're waiting for PMs. We could easily sit here and wait for certain people to be on during that time that would signal who's sending you the PMs.
So you're saying the wolves did NOT wolf anyone? Or did they wolf manti. |

Re: jTWG XLVII: A Night Under The Iraqi Sky
Well, it sounds like either rzr took the lone wolf's pm and disregarded the random.org result, or he stuck with the wolves' priority and randomized the kill.
Oh and hey guys what's goin on?

Even aim times could be checked, for idleness, but let's be a little fair for rzr's mess up. It's not definite to do this iin order to narrow it down. The time frame is too sketchy.

Re: jTWG XLVII: A Night Under The Iraqi Sky
Sorry - reasoning being that those who didn't post were possibly not active whatsoever during the night, and thus could have been the ones who screwed up and forgot to send in a PM.
Alternatively, they all could have thought somebody else was sending the PM. That happened to me once. And for future reference, rzr, just say "There was no wolf kill", or better yet, simply say [in this case], "Mant died." That leaves it up to speculation how he died. |
