I've tried, and I can't get this to work. Please help.

I've heard that CFW 3.71 M33-2 can be downloaded on any firmware, even OFW. I'm running OFW 3.71. If you can help me get CFW 3.71 M33-2, or anything that can be upgraded to 3.90 M33, then you'll be rewarded with credits.

Please PM me if you want to take up my offer. We'll go from there.

Help ASAP would be great. I can't play homebrews or get many good themes, gameboots, etc., and emulators aren't for OFW.

Edit- I do have a phat PSP, but I don't know anyone else who has CFW...

Uhh, do you have a friend with CFW?

My advice would be to get a friend with 3.90 cfw and you upgrading your ofw to 3.90, then have your friend softmod a pandora battery(it can be recoverable) and have atleast 512mb of memstick to make a Magic Memory Stick. then have him upgrade to cfw for you, that's what I did to all of my friends... oh but one downside you must have a phat psp... Although slims are doable, just with a different method..

You don't need to upgrade to 3.90 ofw, pandora's battery method works on all firmwares.

If you have a slimline, you'll need to create a DCv5 (Despertar del Cementario v4) memory stick and have a pandora's battery on hand. [Guide] They blocked access to the battery's EEPROM on the Slim's mobo (TA-085) and on, so you'll have to either hardmod your battery or find a friend with a cfw fat. If all else fails, you can always buy a battery:

The method I was explaining used flashing 3.90 ofw with 3.90 cfw. Of course there are other methods but I found this the least hassle free, and it didn't require the hardmodding, but I was only assuming he had a phat psp and knew a guy with cfw.


EDIT: Oh, lol nvm. I always thought that by using the corresponding fw it would only work that way. Kinda like flashing flash0 themes

Um, what?

From 3.50 OFW and up, you have to use a pandora's battery to downgrade, then upgrade to CFW. 3.50 had the Lumines exploit, and 3.03 had the GTA:LCS exploit, but they both downgraded to 1.50. You can't just flash CFW on an OFW PSP.

huh? Downgrading wasn't used in the tut i posted. With the magic mem and battery you could just upgrade.

Son of a- fine... that's pretty much what I've been told other places as well. Pandora's battery and Magic Memory stick... I still don't understand it all. I looked on youtube and yahoo answers but I don't get what a magic memory stick is for, and how a pandora's battery works... Can anyone clarify this?


*Edit- *Cries* Damn this is hard. LISTEN-I CAN'T DO PANDORA'S BATTERY-I'm running OFW(Official Firmware) 3.71 downloaded directly off the Crisis Core game disk. I didn't get OFW 3.71 online, so I don't know how to get any FW online. The requirements for a Pandora's Battery method are CUSTOM FIRMWARE. How the hell do you get CFW in the first place!??? This makes no sense at all...

What if I use a downgrader program that reverts my PSP to 1.50, then I update from there? I heard there are such things...

wow dude i have the exact same problem ive gone 3 das without sleep and through 4 psps trying to do this and i learned its best if u just buy a pandora battery and create a magic memory stick

to create a magic mem stick u need to download the toatly newbi easy installer u can find it at http://dl.qj.net/dl.php?fid=14749

i hope u dont have windows vista because this will not work on vista

<<if u have any saved games back them up be4 formating ur memstick!>>


1:make shure u have winrar on ur computer (if u dont then download it its free) make a folder named magic on your desktop

2:extract the downloaded files to the folder u just created

3:connect ur psp via usb connection(make shure u format your memory stick on your psp fisrt(go to system settings and format memstick on psp))

4:run start in the folder called magic

5:do what it tells u when it askes for the drive put the drive letter that ur usb slot is in(u can find it in my computer)

6:when it askes what u want to do select selection 4

8:after its done eject your psp safley out of usb connection

9:turn off your psp and insert your pandora battery(if u bought one of course)

10:it should turn on by itself and start up

11ress x to start the cfw instalation

12:let it install the files

13:when evrything has stoped(make shure its stoped) turn your psp off and put the original battery back in and start the psp

14:now u can format your memstick

15:now you are donez!!!

the only thing u have to do is download psp games off of a torrent program (i recoment bitlorad or bitcoment u can download them for free)

now if all that worked ill tell u how to run the games

after downloading a game it will appear as EBOOT.PBT on ur computer
all u have to do is make a folder in the GAME section of ur psp of the game u downloaded and put the eboot file in the folder

then because of custom firmware u can run the game!

just start ur psp and go to game then to mem stick then the game will be right there!! all for u!! XDD
