MarkHouseMD & EI_Tizzy's Return Tournament!
HOUSE & EI_TIZZY'S RETURN TOURNEY [size="4"][color="Blue"]Hey, Hey, Hey! We've been gone for quite sometime, I know, I know, but what can you do about busy lifestyles, and bad internet connection. Sometimes nothing. So I'm here to announce... WE'RE BACK!!!! and I welcome you to the official page for the MarkHouseMD and EI_Tizzy Return Tournament. For all of you who actually know who we are, the last big tournament we did together was the House's Arcade Madness Tournament. We had a few difficulties in the middle of it, but we thank you for those of you who decided to keep on participating. We had a turnout of forty-two people and seven rounds. So after looking back on all of the great things that went on with this tournament I looked at it, and wondered, what could I do to make sure that everything will run smoothly, and it will be just as fun as the last tournament. So this is the tournament that I came up with. It's not going to be your standard tournament that you see all the time where you post a score on the page, then get it paired up with everyone else, and then you get eliminated and all that jazz. This is going to be a little be more competetive. For many people out there, when I mention swiss style pairings, they will immediately have a ring in their ear, and know esactly what I am talking about, others will not. So for you who do not know what a swiss style pairing is I will tell you. Swiss pairings are basically a round robin tournament. You get a chance to play a different person each round, no mistakes done. You're record is not based on just how many different games you win, but how many you lose as well (W-L), there are no ties, excluding round matches. At the end of the last round a final ranking is made, and based upon your W-L record, you will placed in either the top 4,8,16,32... so on and so forth. More than likely each bracket in this tournament will have a top 8, some will may only have top 4, if there is a top 16, then I shall pit my shants all over the place, becuase that is nucking futs. Each division of the tournament will be broken down into three different categories, Beginner, Intermediate, and Expert. You may ask me which category you would like to be place in, or if I do not here from you I will assume you don't care, and I will research you're ratings and place you to me standards that I see fit. Sorry, but I'm really strict on order. If you do not like the bracket that you are placed in you may request a different bracket, this all has to be done by Tuesday April, 15 at 12:00am CDT. Q: Why Tuesday April, 15 at 12:00am CDT. A: Well 'Q', at that time the registration for the tournament will be closed, and because of the way I am doing the pairings, I will not be able to let any late entrants in, you snooze you lost. Sorry! Also at this time, all bracket setting will be finalized, so if I do not hear from by registration close. You'll have to deal, hey, if you're in an easy bracket it may just work out. LOLZ. Q: So House, what about the prizes? A: Oh 'Q', you just have so many questions don't you. Well... The prizes will be credits, everybody loves credits. Great for gambling. As I post this right now I have 15,000 credits. That is the minimum prize total that I will be giving, but before monday the more donations that I may recieve, will greatly affect your prize total. The more credits, the bigger the prize. However I am not requiring a donation. So do not worry. Q: So I've got the entrance date down, I've got the prizes down, so how is the tournament going to function I know, you covered some stuff earlier, but how will it work overall? A: Great question! At the start of the tournament each pairing is going to be done completely at random. As the rounds will go on you will placed based upon you're W-L record. If we were to have an uneven number in a bracket, the last person to be placed in the bracket will have a bye in this case. Not the best thing to have, but it is a win considerably. Usually a bye is given to the person that did to worst in the round, so try your best. At the end of rounds we will cut to the tops of the bracket (4,8,16,32...)! You know the rest. Q: So how do I submit a score? A: Another fantastic question, here is the list of proceedures to submit your scores, and how they will be based: -When you think you have a score you want to submit, take a screenshot of it and post it in the appropriate thread or send it via PM to me (MarkHouseMD). Here are the steps for taking a screenshot: 1. Press the Print Screen button on your keyboard. IF you're using a Mac, I believe the input is Command+Shift+3. The command button is the apple 2. Go into Paint (Start>Programs>Accessories) or another imaging program and hit Ctrl+V 3. Save the SS on your computer 4. Go to an image hosting site, such as Photobucket, ImageShack, or Xs.to (my favorite; it saves picture info without you having to sign-up) and upload the SS. 5. Post the image in this thread or send it to either of us -As always, you can submit as many SS's as you want, but we will accept the last one as your Round score. If it's accidentally worse than before, you better fix it fast! -If, for some reason, two people are EXACLTY tied, and the Round ends, they will immediately recieve a tiebreaking song and the first better score posted will win. If I do not have a score posted within twelve hours of the next round starting, I will give the previous round win to the person who registered in the tournament first. Q: Sounds simple enough, so how will we recieve our prizes? A: Well after the tournament is all over in every bracket I will sent the prizes to bracket winners via credit transfer on FFR. Q: Well I think that is all of the questions that I have for now, I'm out of here. A: Don't forget 'Q' I have one more thing. I will not allow any form of bullying name calling or insults towards any other players from anyone else, so that means no saying "you noob" or "you luck sacked you're entire round". I will automatically DQ (Dairy Queen) you, and drop you my tournament, understood. Q: Yes Okay then. So there you have it folks the entire listing of rules for the HOUSE/TIZZY Return Tourney. I wish the best of luck to each and every one of you who decide to enter. If you have any other questions that I did not answer in the rulings, or there is something that I failed to cover, please PM or leave a post. Also one more thing, please enjoy a nice banenr that you could put on your signature, while the tournament is going on, and it even links to the page. Hey yeah, sorry about that, I lost my internet connection and I have now just recently got it back. So here's the deal. I'm in the process of locating all the players who won something, then i'm going to get this mess all figured out, man. I'm really sorry, didn't me to screw anyone.

Re: MarkHouseMD & EI_Tizzy's Return Tournament!
You should make levels, as in Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, etc...
I'll join if you make levels, if not, then I'm out. |

Re: MarkHouseMD & EI_Tizzy's Return Tournament!
Since he lives in Nebraska, I would assume it would be central.
In his last tournament, he used central time zone.

Re: MarkHouseMD & EI_Tizzy's Return Tournament!
no it determines how you get paired up in the first round, but that doesn't matter anyway, i'm taking that out because you can chose which section you want to be in.
