![]() As opposed to the stationary dodge which just takes timing?
It really isn't that difficult.

![]() After messing around with the SSE Tabuu for an hour, I figured out my problem.
Dodge-rolling is front-end dodging. You'll dodge immediately, then the after-animation is all as if you're recovering from an attack. Side-stepping is middle-end dodging. You'll dip into the dodge, dodge, then dip out of the dodge. I was side-stepping the instant the ring got to me. No wonder I kept dying. I couldn't get back to Tabuu from just a string of bad luck and bad placement of baddies (Always mess up when Duon is 9th), so I'll work it again tomorrow. Edit: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/32182.html We've come a long, long way. I think I still prefer the original announcer. He was just so charismatic. Also interesting to note that the original game was Master Hand playing with dolls. Not some kid playing with trophies... which became trophies playing with trophies somehow. Also reminded me of how much I love the Target Test music in Melee. And who could forget Board the Platforms?! I wish that carried over to Melee / Brawl =/ Last edited by Squeek; 03-26-2008 at 03:57 AM.. |

![]() Board the platforms was excellent.
That needs a reinstitution into the game.

![]() Damn, the intro video for Melee was awesome. Why were the developers so lazy with Brawl? And I agree about bringing back Board the Platforms. Even another "universal 5 stages" thing would have been acceptable.

Dude, the intro for Brawl has a bunch of cuts from the cutscenes from Adventure mode... An Adventure mode with CUTSCENES, something that Melee lacked. And given how massive and robust everything else is, I'd say them taking the easy way out on a minor element like Targets is more than justified.

![]() I dunno, I really found that annoying but it was great for trophies. and I guess the coin launcher in brawl is better then melee's lottery where you can get more trophies with skill instead of luck.

![]() So I did it.
First try of the night, too. All I had to do was survive those rings. He didn't even touch me the entire match. Kinda cheap because Toon Link's ground up + a doesn't move him, which means during Tabuu's eye lasers, you can camp underneath him just holding up slightly and pressing A. He'll take about 25% damage just from that. Since he zips around the stage so damn much, he's hard as hell to hit in the meantime. Fortunately I got him before he started another ring barrage. Now I have to do it on Very Hard and Hard. This is how I play games, by the way. I don't work up the difficulty. I do it on the easiest difficulty, then the hardest. I did events 1-41 in order on Easy, then I did 41-1 on Hard. |

![]() Would you guys recommend beasting it on Intense then going back and doing Hard/Very Hard after? I have yet to do any of them, and I've only put forth a handful of attempts total at any of them.

![]() Doing it on Intense first makes the rest of the difficulties feel a lot easier. That's what I'm doing.

![]() I did it hard-->VH-->Intense.
But if you can beat it on intense, you shouldn't have any problems on the other two difficulties.

![]() Seriously, VH is cake compared to Intense. I get to Tabuu without using a single heart.
That's just how I play games, though. Oh, PS, I just got the Tabuu trophy for using a stand on him during his fight in SSE. Teeheehee. |

It's pretty much completely made up of cutscenes, which when put to music don't look good. The intro is basically "here's this character, here's this one, here's this one, and this one etc". When put in the context of Adventure Mode, the cutscenes are awesome, but when chopped up into short pieces, then sequenced, the epicness is lost. LOST.

![]() Well, I've managed to beat level 8 computers pretty handily with Lucas, Samus, and Lucario.
I still love Lucas, Samus is still a little weaker than I'd hoped, and Lucario's totally doable. --Guido http://andy.mikee385.com |
