When you can sell items for 5k per instead of 1k poor, you'll start getting richer.

Re: Cabal (not the old arcade game)
I have 1.2 million. Got four chaos lamps, sold them all :P
I've never sold anything to another player, even some +4s and +5s I've gotten. Off to the merch they go! The reason for this stems from my absolute hatred of trading on Guild Wars, a game on which I have logged 3000 hours. It takes so long to sell ANYTHING in that game, that no matter what I got, no matter how good it was, if I couldn't use it, it went to the NPC. |

Re: Cabal (not the old arcade game)
Of course, although there would have been more of us if he'd recorded that in town.
Level 31 now, and still on if anyone plans on showing up. Multi-shooter mode is amazing. It's like lightning aura + more power + hitting two enemies at once if they're close enough together. EDIT: My wii is refusing to let me watch the video, so I'll have to check it out later (since I'm trying to avoid lagging the game). Last edited by Temote; 02-5-2008 at 07:28 AM.. |

Re: Cabal (not the old arcade game)
OH MY GOSH! I was out killing Ape Zombies for a quest, when I get mobbed and almost die. So, I take off running towards a guy named KLOWD and they mob him instead. Of course he dies, and private messages me stating that I'm a "w(h)ore" and a "stupid s(l)ut". He then tells me "If you can't handle the monsters, you should leave". I, of course, refuse his oh-so generous offer and continue to kill the Ape's, and he says to me, "Fine, we'll see who can survive the longest".
About 5 minutes later I see him pop up and get a giant mob of Ape Zombie's to chase him, and then he runs straight for me. I pop my Battle Mode on and start owning the 8 Ape Zombie's like they were cheese cake to a fat kid. I see my character get knocked down and think to myself, "Hmm, I didn't know monsters could knock you down", so I ran back and got knocked down again. Then I see that his name is in red so I now have him + Ape Zombie's attacking me. I change my focus from them to him, and completely wreck him so bad that he logged out before he died. He hasn't said a thing to me since. So, if you see KLOWD, please make fun of him in an extremely funny fashion |

Re: Cabal (not the old arcade game)
Can't you PK people in this game? I think I read something about restrictions on that and penalties and whatnot. Do you get heavily penalized for PKs even if you wait a long time between them? Cuz ya know, one thing I hate about MS is that I can't PK douchebags without warning...
Also, I've been thinking about it, and if this game isn't completely huge I may just put it on mom's laptop in the meantime while I'm without my computer. *checks that asiasoft forum thread* 1.5 GB eh? I suppose I jam it into the HDD on this laptop, XD! I may be on later tonight, in that case. =)

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright. And I write the blog for their website. Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O |

Re: Cabal (not the old arcade game)
Yeah, the channel we play on is anti-PK, meaning there are penalties for unathorized attacks. If you see a user with an orange or red name, those users are violators of PK rules. And, yes, if you violate them enough, your character does go to jail for a period of time. Normally in a PK situation, you can run away fast enough to not die, or if you have return orbs, it obviously requires no effort. It's good to know that you can self-defend yourself without repercussion though.

Re: Cabal (not the old arcade game)
The penalties for PKing:
a) If you attempt another PK while in PK Penalty status, you will lose 1,000 Honor Points. b) If you kill a character while in PK Penalty status, you will lose 10,000 Honor Points on the top of the 1,000 points that you have lost by attempting a PK. c) If you continue attempting PK while in PK Penalty status, the severity and duration of penalty will be increased. First PK : Cannot use shops for 10 minutes. There is no Honor Point penalty.(Penalty status starts on the second PK) Second PK : Cannot converse with NPCs for 30 minutes. Therefore, it is impossible to use shops, storage, and instructions or proceed with quests. Third PK : Cannot converse with NPCs for 60 minutes, and other characters can PK you without receiving any penalties. Fourth PK : Cannot converse with NPCs for 100 minutes, and have a chance of dropping equipment upon death. Fifth PK : Will be confined within a labyrinthine prison for 150 minutes. |

Re: Cabal (not the old arcade game)
Hmmm...didn't know you could PK, how do you do it? I thought the only way you could kill another player was in a duel...but you actually get Honor points for winning those

Re: Cabal (not the old arcade game)
I think it's like, you have to select a person, then hold shift and hit attack or something? I never bothered to figure out the specifics.
