all the good mario rpg songs have been stepped by ducky. even then most of them didn't really deliver good stepcharts

I stepped then a millennium ago and they were my first keyboard charts, which means they obviously suck. I wouldn't say the songs themselves are bad for stepping, but they suffer from loop syndrome. Stepping more than one loop of a song usually tends to be dumb and repetitive, but most SMRPG songs have short loops. Either you have a short simfile or a you have to step more than one loop. Sucks.

You can do pseudo climax with the stepfile, or get clever with pattern variation (that doesn't mean mirroring rofl, although I admit like this method from a player's standpoint).
