Re: The Tetris Effect
I believe "FFR Syndrome" is another term for that. It's kinda like shell shock, which has multiple other names, such as "Vietnam Syndrome."

Re: The Tetris Effect
The "Place in memory" part of the article is very interesting.
This happened to me when I played Tetris Attack.... I used to play it everyday for years..... I would see the blocks moving around in my mind when I closed my eyes to go to sleep (or even with them open sometimes), and occasionally, sound effects would be included as well. It was pretty trippy. But then, I was hardly a teenager, I think. |

Re: The Tetris Effect
I used to find myself doing this in class/before sleep/etc. with CIA Rave. I played that god damn song so many god damn times I have it memorized. And I still haven't AAA'd it yet.

This happens to me with every game I play pretty much.
I love it though, I've played full games of tetris in my mind, haha. |

Re: The Tetris Effect
I used to have this from FFR when I played a lot.
Then I also had aural-only version of this from Pokemon. It was really annoying to hear that music when the game was turned off and think maybe the game was still on even though it was clearly not. Oh and I also had this from THPS with the real-world identification thing. Imagining ridiculous skate lines everywhere.

Re: The Tetris Effect
Yeah, I definitely get this. When I close my eyes after playing FFR for a while, I see arrows. I'm not sure if it's related, but I also sometimes blink a lot when I play FFR.
