Yes I am. My birthday is April 2, 1994. I take Advil because it helps my mom out so she tells me to take it for pain.

i never once broke a bracket because i willingly gave up soda. the carbonation rapes the cement on your teeth so the brackets break really easy. that's probably the best thing you can do for yourself. and don't chew random objects...like pens...or caps. they'll break **** too.

gl with them. i had them for almost three years, because i had a sick overbite. do what they say. wear the rubber bands. it'll just make everything go more quickly.

Yeah...I can barely eat. Also, I am drinking soda with the spacers, because I am still used to it, but the spacers don't have a problem with soda. But, I am slowly decreasing my soda drink-age. I just need to stop randomly chewing on pen caps, because I am a nervous person, and I do that when I am nervous. Especially when I had to give presentations today for Jr. High FBLA (because I am the President of the organization).

I will have them for 2 years, because I will be getting the SmartClip braces, which take two hours to complete the process of putting them on. I also have a crossbite (overbite in front, underbite in back), and my permanent K-9 tooth is over between the two molars next to it (left side of mouth), so it has to be dragged over. Since I am getting the SmartClip treatment, it will only be 2 years.

Just don't listen to anyone who tells you not to eat/drink **** because it will damage your braces. I ate popcorn, chewed gum, and drank soda for the years I had my braces on, and didn't have a single complication from them. The pain isn't bad after the first few days. The only advice about anything I have is to stop eating pineapple. It won't damage your braces, but it will get stuck in them for days. Seriously, steer clear.

The subject of pain I cannot account for firsthand, for I never got braces. Here's some generic pointers:

• They'll give you novacaine during the actual braces-putting-onning process, so don't worry about that.
• After the novacaine wears off, take LIQUID painkiller if it's that bad. Pills would be pretty dumb in that situation.
• Drink liquids. Primarily water and anything with alot of nutrients, like tea, since you wont be eating very many nutrients for the next few days. Soda eats babies.
• Eat (well, I guess drink) soup, applesauce, mashed potatoes, and liquid supplements. If you don't have any, drink tea.
• If you have a girlfriend, and she doesn't have braces, don't get her involved. She'll think you're a wuss.
• If you have a girlfriend, and she does have braces, then get her involved if you want to. She's had the experience before, she understands.
• Keep us posted.

I have braces, and halloween is kinda gay when you have them. And for pain, drink cold drinks, it worked for me. Also, ADVIL.

and some gummy stuff is alright, just watch it.

i got vicodin, so i was happy for about 3 days.
i didnt need to eat anyways, because the vicodin kept me okay

PS: The only thing I could eat was soup/ice cream for a whole week because of the pain
