Re: A List of ALL the Songs in the FFR Queue
oh nice.
btw I'm signing the e-petition to get Hammy's Wish in because people who generally know what they're doing (Rebirth) like the file, and Tass (Tass) doesn't

spenner: fyi, there is already one in queue.
hi19: fierce dragon... didn't touch it because of the one that just went in game, and since jx said yours was a 6, that means they're around the same difficulty. about the jacks.... yes.... it's called Piano Etude. I absolutely love V1 v1, fyi. No idea about Token Whore.

Re: A List of ALL the Songs in the FFR Queue
I sent in Makiba by DJ Sharpnel. Hopefully this stepfile will make it in. Pretty decent steps, but be alert for jumpstreams!

About jacks, ugh, I find the first set of long single note jacks in Revolutionary etude to be so much fun. Medium sized jacks (like 8 notes) @ exactly 150 bpm would be SO much fun. Maybe not for the people who obsess about their tier rank, but for people who play this game just to whack away at the keyboard and pass their time, those jacks are really cool. As for V1, w/e I'll drop that too I guess. I'm just trying to get 54 files into the game, 1 for each week of '07, and rose in '06 and hopefully just one right at the start of '08 Maybe a pathetic reason but I think it's cool.

Maybe save the jackalicious (mmMMMmm, runnymorning) files for 3rd Style. I, personally, can't wait to change how I step files.

Well since I've usually already lost my combo by then, I can just let fly and mash as hard as I want. It's stress relieving and fun

Re: A List of ALL the Songs in the FFR Queue
Hmm, 0/3 for me in this batch. That's disappointing. I question if Tass knows what he's actually doing. I certainly know that it's legitimate to reject a file for framer reasons (or other FFR engine related problems) but by refining a simfile to the point where it's devoid (or lacks in general) of originality in arrow patterns is an outcome he might not have saw.
For example, my Lapis file was +ed by the other judges, but Tass rejected it because of the small 16th jumpstreams at the beginning and end of the song. While this makes the song slightly more difficult, it creates some nice variety and is perfectly legitimate. Without it, I'd have to refine it to jumps independent of the 16th streams. which then is certainly not anything new or exciting. It also helps to have some musical knowledge or at least simfile creating, and I question whether Tass has a decent amount of either of those criteria (Free Space doesn't count ). Twinklesky was rejected for possible 3 framers. Not that I would've like to change it, but for framer reasons, I'd have no problem with that. As for {Flying Away}, I'm not going to bother lol. Chances of getting that into the queue is low. I'm also going to sign Hammy petition, again on the basis of questioning Tass's "valid" knowledge of simfile judging. And Tass, as for the song styles that I haven't categorized yet, give me a bit of time, if possible. I have a midterm coming up already this week. :/ edit: On closer inspection, I see that Tass actually never touched my simfiles because "both judges said the same comments on the files". REGARDLESS, you should look into ones that were +ed at least (both +ed for lapis). If a simfile is +ed by both judges, and you perceive any "negative aspects" of their comments, you can surely infer that those negative aspects were not major enough to completely ignore the simfile on your part. Please take this into consideration. Last edited by bmah; 09-25-2007 at 12:01 AM.. |
